Prince Rupert RV Campground, Prince Rupert, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We got off the ferry at 2:15 in the morning and were happy to find this campground open this late in the season. We were given a discount since we only were here half the night the first night. We choose our own spot, level and grassy with full hook-up. Excellent Wi-Fi. It's not the prettiest spot, but served our needs well. The laundry was out of service (or closed for the season). We stayed two nights and would return. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tolsona Wilderness Campground , Glennallen, Alaska

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of our favorites in Alaska. Super friendly staff, treats for the dog. Beautiful spot along a quick flowing stream. Private, level, and quiet (except for the stream). Lots of places to walk the dog. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. We camped at Tolsona Wilderness Campground in a Travel Trailer.

River's Edge Resort, Fairbanks, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed staying here. Had a nice level pull-through right next to the river. Quiet and spacious. Wi-Fi was iffy, best if we went to the laundromat, which was clean and comfortable. Great restaurant 5 minute walk. We stayed two nights and would return. We camped at River's Edge Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Northern Rockies Lodge , Muncho Lake, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We were very disappointed with this campground. On first arrival, we found the setting magnificent, and we choose a site right on the water' s edge, with stunning views of the lake. However we soon discovered the staff was far more interested in accommodating the guests staying in the lodge than those in the campground. We ate dinner in the lodge one night and while the food was good, albeit expensive, the service was very poor. The "free Wifi" lasted all of 15 minutes, and even after buying more time, it still wouldn't let me log on most of the time. The staff at the desk offered no help at all. The laundry room consisted of one washer and one dryer in the basement for the entire complex. The store was essentially useless, not even selling milk. Considering the price we paid, we were hoping for a far more pleasant experience. We would not stay here again. We camped at Northern Rockies Lodge in a Travel Trailer.

Sherk's RV Park, Valleyview, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. Very clean, level sites. Helpful staff. The laundry room is immaculate. It's quiet, but not far off the main road. The only problem (not their fault) was that the road from route 43 was closed due to construction and we had to make our way around the back side. Internet was the best we had in a long time. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherk's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Comfortable, level site. Concrete pad and picnic table. Lots of places to walk the dog. Friendly staff, well-maintained laundry. Not a lot of curb appeal, but good for a night or two. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This is the place to be for full hookups and close to most attractions. But the campground doesn't have much to offer. Sites are very tight, no picnic tables, and not very attractive. Roads into the loops are poorly maintained. For the price, I think they could do better. We stayed here 3 nights. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Covered Wagon RV Park, Magrath, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Pulled in for one night after a long day's drive. Friendly staff showed us to our spot, explained the hookups, told us about a hiking trail and best places to walk our dog. Kids playing in a sprinkler, but overall quiet and comfortable. Concrete pad and picnic table clean and well-maintained. Free pizza tonight. Would come here again. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. We camped at Covered Wagon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
