Toutle River RV Resort, Castle Rock, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This park is high class. One of the best you'll find. The only caveat is the noisy freeway on one side and busy railroad on the other. We came here because the kids wanted to swim. The outdoor pool was clean and so was the hot tub. We also used the barrel Sauna and it was excellent. Grounds are well maintained, and paved roads are in superb condition. The passing trains shake RVs, and make lots of noise. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Kemp Olson Memorial Park, Toledo, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Park is older, and doesn't have sewer or dump station. It has a nice playground for kids and is very peaceful at the edge of a small town next to corn fields and elementary school. Tall trees provide lots of shade. The camp host's RV has seen better days. If you want a really peaceful park, this is it. Only one other camper was there at the time, which was during Toledo's "Threshing Bee" festival. We camped at Kemp Olson Memorial Park in a Motorhome.

Evergreen Sportsmen's Club, Olympia, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Evergreen is one of the largest clay target shooting ranges in the Western U.S. If you like Trap (36 Traps!), Skeet & Sporting Clays, this is a spot you want to visit. There are also pistol and rifle shooting facilities available. The RV park is older. Very old looking equipment. Looks like it has been there for 30+ years. Some spots are in the woods, others (Most of them) are on a large field with no shade. Many of the spots only offer 20 Amp service. I had to look around for a while to find a 30 Amp hookup. During the day you will likely hear lots of gunfire, but evenings are peaceful. There are several RVs parked that look like they are there permanently. Staff is only available on certain days, so I'm not sure how you pay for your stay if you show up on days that don't have the office open. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We camped at Evergreen Sportsmen's Club in a Motorhome.

Waterloo County Park, Lebanon, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

During our stay the park was populated by RVs in various states of disrepair. Also, lots of police activity - up to three police cars were parked and talking to the visitors to the park. The police vehicles stayed late into the night. Park is advertised as a swimming park, but the Santiam River is ice cold, even in late August. It is a scenic park. We stayed in spot 31B by the river. We camped at Waterloo County Park in a Motorhome.

Skamokawa Vista Park, Skamokawa, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The sites near the river were upgraded two years ago, so decided to write another review. They made the sites more level, and added 50 Amp service and water to sites to V4-V15. Bathrooms have gotten interior upgrades. Our favorite spot, V15 which is on the river bank was taken, so we settled for V12. Get V15 if you can. It is the best camping spot just about anywhere. WiFi still works very poorly. Looks like they put better equipment in, but it doesn't seem to work for some reason. We camped at Skamokawa Vista Park in a Motorhome.

Get site V15 if you can. It is the best spot in the whole park, and arguably one of the best sites anywhere. It's right on the river. Beautiful.

Josephine County Sportsman Association Gun Range RV Park, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a county owned public gun range that has an RV park as part of it. If you like clay target sports or other shooting sports this is your RV park. Very nice and helpful people run the place. You can shoot Sporting Clays, Skeet, Trap, Five Stand, Cowboy Action, Rifle, Pistol and Archery. The RV area is where the old trap ranges are. There are approximately 10 spots for RVs of any length. Lots of gun fire during the day, but ceasefire is at 5:30PM, so you have plenty of quiet time, too. We camped at Josephine County Sportsman Association Gun Range RV Park in a Motorhome.

Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Our kids they love this place. It is about as good as a campground can get. This is on Indian Reservation, so there are no nanny-state laws prohibiting kids from being kids. Kids swim multiple times a day. Everything is super clean and all of the workers we have talked to are very friendly and helpful. Casino has good restaurants - we had an excellent steak at the Cow Creek restaurant that is open 24 hours. Get the free player's card and get discounts at the resort. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mossyrock Park, Mossyrock, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, well-maintained park owned by the power company operating the dam. Staff friendly and accommodating. Stayed mid-week for two nights. Excellent swimming beach that gets raked every day. Nice store/cafe open during busy season. Stayed in a pull-through spot near the swimming hole with kids. This is one of the best equipped campgrounds anywhere. Big lawns for play, paved biking paths, BMX path (not paved), boat launch with two long docks for loading/unloading. The addition of sewer hookups and Wi-Fi would earn a perfect score. We camped at Mossyrock Park in a Motorhome.

Scappoose RV Park, Scappoose, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is the smallest RV park I've ever stayed in. Only 6 sites. Next to an airport where many small aircraft take off and land during the day. Interesting to watch them come and go. Park has brand new hookups. Bathrooms also in excellent shape - looked like a recent remodel. The summer camp host very friendly and accommodating. Playground for the kids and huge trees to give shade, so comfortable in just about any heat. During the day there is a fair amount of truck traffic on the road next to the campground. Very quiet at night. Llama farm next door emits a barn odor when the wind is right. Very nice campground. Would stay again. We camped at Scappoose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Skamokawa Vista Park, Skamokawa, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed at an electric only site by the river. Beautiful spot. Very large and open. Ships pass by at all hours, and come close to the shore. Nice swimming beach. Tide comes high and then goes very low. We had a boat that we kept on the beach. Boat launch has seen better days and is only usable during high tide. Kids like playing on the playground, office has horse shoes available for playing. WiFi is pathetic, as it only works by the office. We camped at Skamokawa Vista Park in a Motorhome.
