This is an awesome campground for the price. Only a couple of observations that would have increased my score to a 9. There were no grills at the firepits to cook on and there was a noticeable amount of cigarette butts around the campground. Trash was also in the still water by the lake. Very reasonable price on rental of canoe and kayak; $15 for 4 hours. Beautiful lake and staff was very nice.

Highly recommend this park. Very family friendly place. We will most definitely return to camp here.

We visited this park again over the Fourth of July and had an awesome time. If you are in this area and are looking for a home away from home, then you need to check out this park. The owners are very personable and will go above and beyond to accommodate. We will definitely return as soon as possible.

Fries RV Park is unlike any other. My family cannot wait to go back. The owner's are genuinely nice, extremely accommodating and a true joy to be around. We were able to ride our bicycles along the New River Trail and take a canoe trip down the New River. We enjoyed the friendliness of the people of the town and were also lucky enough to get a private tour of downtown Fries.

This was a great campground for the whole family. The pool was nice and clean. They had plenty for the kids to do. The sites were large and you didn't feel cramped. Nice little camp store with mini-golf and a rec room. The lodge has a separate area for only adults with WiFi and A/C. I took advantage of that several times during our stay to catch up on work. The 3 acre lake was nice with a footpath all the way around. The campground also has private/lockable showers. But, get there early - they get a little nasty. The staff was nice enough. Plenty of fun on bikes and places to ride. No trails though. They always seem to be making improvements at this campground to make it even better.

Great campground if you're a retired dog owner. But, not conducive to human kids! There is little or nothing for kids to do at this campground. They even have a rule that 'kids under 16 years old cannot leave their campsite without an adult escort'. Do what?! My sons felt like prisoners! They should really post information on their webpage to tell you when you call. The restrooms and showers were ultra-clean. The owners were very nice. The dog training areas were pretty nice. But, the entire campground needed a good weed-eating. Our dogs had a great time. Our sons vowed never to return. We'll go back when the kids are grown and gone.
