Northshore RV Resort & Marina, Onalaska, Texas
Date of Stay:
November, 2017 -
$37.00
Overall Rating:
Friendly staff. Maintenance came around to make sure we had no problems with the hook up. Site does slant a little bit, but was able to level with no problems. Lots of room between RVs so you don't feel cramped. Sewer has a P-trap. Don't open your tanks wide open immediately.
If you are coming in after dark, the entry is pretty hard to find and does need updating. We came in during daylight, but I can see that this may be a problem. Wi-Fi works most of the time: dependent on number of users! Nice fishing pier. We
camped at Northshore RV Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

Crawfordsville KOA, Crawfordsville, Indiana
Date of Stay:
April, 2017 -
$42.00
Overall Rating:
Even though we got to park at 2:30, no one was available to check us in. Our packet was at the nighttime check-in, however. Getting into site just fit our motorhome and toad. Had to drive on the grass to get into spot. site was gravel and was pretty soft, but we were able to level it. We were in site 24 and had to drive through site 21 to make a right turn to get out the next morning. This was just an overnite spot for us. If trees had been blossomed out, it would have been very shaded. We camped at Crawfordsville KOA in a Motorhome.

Cajun RV Park, Biloxi, Mississippi
Date of Stay:
March, 2017 -
$50.00
Overall Rating:
Location of campground was excellent, across street from beach. We were in a back in site at end of row, so had plenty of space on side. Another RV backed up behind us, so we were back to back. Staff friendly. Eastbound on 90 you can't make a left turn directly into park. Make sure you read directions. We camped at Cajun RV Park in a Motorhome.

Highway 6 RV Resort, Houston, Texas
Date of Stay:
February, 2017 -
$50.00
Overall Rating:
Brand new RV park. Coming from south on Hwy 6, it's difficult to make a right turn if vehicles are on Schiller making a turn onto hwy 6. Nice large and level spots. Appears to be lots of full timers. Lots of rules, but many are not followed, ie. keeping your space clean and clutter free. Very quiet though. Very nice people in the office and very accommodating. We didn't use facilities so can't comment on them. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Motorhome.
You are in the middle of west end Houston where you can navigate both north and south, east and west. Lots of traffic, however! But that's just Houston!

Mohegan Sun Casino, Uncasville, Connecticut
Date of Stay:
September, 2016 -
$1.00
Overall Rating:
This is a parking area for RVs for those visiting the Casino. It was easy to get to and the security was great. Parking lot is not level so it took a bit of manual levelling, but we had a view of the Thames river. There are no services available, but there also is no charge. If you can boondock for a few days, this is a perfect location! We camped at Mohegan Sun Casino in a Motorhome.

Katy Lake RV Resort, Katy, Texas
Date of Stay:
January, 2016 -
$29.00
Overall Rating:
We were here for almost 4 months for the winter from January through Mid-April. It's a very nice park with many spots that back up to the small lake. Office personnel are all very nice and try to accommodate requests and take care of problems. Only problem was with wi-fi not being good, but is as good as all the other parks we've been in. It is in the middle of a large city (Katy/Houston) so if you like rural, this is not your place! It is close to medical, shopping and all the amenities of the Houston area. We camped at Katy Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Custer's Gulch RV Park, Custer, South Dakota
Date of Stay:
August, 2015 -
$48.00
Overall Rating:
Entry off main road is gravel and needs to be graded as it's a bit rough. Large spaces with picnic table and fire pit. Perfect spot for day trips to all the local attractions. Lots of WI-FI spots, but as with most parks, there is heavy use which makes it sometimes impossible to get a connection. No cable TV and we were able to get only local channel. We set up DirectTV satellite. Staff was nice. We camped at Custer's Gulch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA, Kingsland, Georgia
Date of Stay:
March, 2015 -
$35.00
Overall Rating:
We only stayed overnight while traveling through the area. The staff was excellent. They have a dinner menu that would deliver to your RV. Cost for BBQ ribs dinner was $13.00 and were excellent! Breakfast in the morning was provided. We didn't use that service, but it was available. Large area for our fifth wheeler to pull into and didn't have to unhook. Would definitely stay here again for a longer period of time. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff was very nice. 24 hour attendant at the gate. Many permanent residences and a few RV spaces scattered around the park. Streets are narrow, but once we were able to get into space, had a patio and plenty of room. We camped at Goldcoaster RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
This is near the south end of the Everglades. Great place if you are looking to go to that part of the park.

Venture Out Resort, Cudjoe Key, Florida
Date of Stay:
March, 2015 -
$100.00
Overall Rating:
We stayed at VO96. This is waterfront RV spot. We backed into the spot as we have a large rear window and it was like being right on the water. The spot was large enough for 40' fifth wheel and large pick up parked next to it if you back into the spot. If you park parallel, there would not have been enough room for truck. Did not have TV service or wi-fi. Have to use a satellite dish for tv. We camped at Venture Out Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulf Haven RV Resort (formerly Gulf Haven Campground), Gulfport, Mississippi
Date of Stay:
January, 2015 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
We stayed 3 nights. The sites are gravel, but level. Full hookups. Camp was not full so we had plenty of room and could see the gulf from our site. We were in site 53. Unfortunately it was cold and rainy while we were there, but the staff was nice - delivered propane to us and answered all our questions. We camped at Gulf Haven RV Resort (formerly Gulf Haven Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.
