White Acres Campground, Bardstown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Plain Jane! Internet was very patchy... kept getting kicked off. Picnic tables were child-size. Sites were big, but no fires allowed except on the gravel drives. Very underwhelmed. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

David Crockett State Park, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park, but needs updating. Bathrooms were clean, but very dated. I put "No" on the waterfront sites, but there are actually several sites along the stream, where there are several very refreshing spots to wade and play. We've camped there before and return just to be able to sit in the stream in my chair and read. As far as the nightly rate, ours was $17, but we received a Senior rate, so I'm not sure how much the regular rate would be. Definitely will return. We camped at David Crockett State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Meriwether Lewis, Hohenwald, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2014
Overall Rating:

This campground was great! If you want solitude, level sites, nature sounds to lull you to sleep, this is the park for you. First night, shared the park with 2 other campers in the other loop closest to the restrooms. Didn't even know they were there until kids rode by on their bikes. Clean, large sites, beautiful scenery, a great park for a few day boon-dock stay. Definitely will return. On a cautionary note, there was a reported, but unconfirmed by officials, sighting of a timber rattlesnake. So, wildlife is present. We camped at Meriwether Lewis in a Fifth Wheel.
