Shipshewana Campground North Park, Shipshewana, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 5 nights, nice clean grounds with level gravel back ins and pull thru and grass around sites. Little road noise from intersection of 5 and 120 highways, didn't bother us. Campers were mainly 50+ that stayed here. Not every site had a fire ring, have to ask for one in office or get one from another site not being used. Not much for children to do. Antenna received all air broadcast stations. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoyed the area, an Amish community. Loved the drive to towns around Shipshewana and seeing the buggies and Amish farms. The food was excellent. Yoders hardware had everything imaginable. Tues and Wed. they have huge Auction in the barn that was crazy, full of primitives. Flea market was just ok, too much commercial products, not crafts. Also went to Elkhart and visited RV Museum. Very nice displays of the way people used to camp, full of history.

Stayed here overnite on way to Texas. Easy access off W 30. Pull thru with room for slides, didnt unhook from 5th wheel. Had good cable service and wifi. Close to fuel and food. Would not stay here but overnite was great. When we called they requested cash only. Didnt use any of the facilities. We camped at Arkadelphia Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Houston East RV Resort, Baytown, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here overnite in route to Mississippi from southern Texas. Good location off 146. All concrete roads and pads. The sites were really close to one another making it hard to get out. Had nice pull thru but they had recently dug up the grass around water hydrant and we had mud to contend with around our 5th wheel. Good cable and wifi. Had security gates. They gave us a bag of free ice and 2 waters for our welcome there. Would stay here again if in the area overnite. We camped at Houston East RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Boomland RV Park & Campground, Charleston, Missouri

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This little park served its purpose, which was to stay overnite in our 5th wheel while traveling to Texas. All dirt with some grass and trees.

A few other overniters were there. Just drive in and pick a spot. We unhooked as it was cold to go to huge trade center nearby, but you could walk there. Will use again for overnite if in the area. We camped at Boomland RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

SeaWind RV Resort, Riviera, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a hidden gem! All paved roads with grass around sites. All the staff and winter Texans were so nice that we stayed for a month instead of the 2 weeks we were planning. Lots of activities to occupy your time. The office managers and staff went out of their way to please. Right beside a state park and bay with beautiful landscape. Park has ice machine for residents there. Used laundry rooms, they were spotless. Wifi was come and go at our site. Will be coming here again!! We camped at SeaWind RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Eastlake RV Resort, Houston, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

All concrete roads and pads. Pretty landscaped near office. All fenced with security gate. Road construction on N. Lake and Lockwood Rd. could still make it thru to rv park. No Shade all small trees. Stayed overnite on way to southern Texas. This park is off Texas service road. Will stay here again for overnite, but didnt like being in Houston traffic. We camped at Eastlake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
