Welcome Station RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We drove 400 miles from CA. Passed many RV parks on the Interstate that all looked like dumps. In desperation found this one in the Escapees discount book. Rate noted reflects Escapees discount. Did not expect much but found this jewel in the middle of the desert in the middle of nowhere. Huge shade trees, green grass, super clean rest rooms and showers/laundry. Mountain stream running at back of campground. Good Verizon, some antenna TV. Owners were delightful. Some seasonal but appears there are always a few sites open.We were extremely pleased. Not only would we stay here again, we would plan to. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Overall a nice park. Mostly pull-throughs. All gravel, including several miles coming in. Our rate reflects Escapee discount. Wi-Fi not working. Story was that they were working on making it better. Problem is, we stayed here 2 years ago and it was the same story. No discount for that. Convenient to visit Little Big Horn without the hubbub of the town of Hardin up the road. Rest/rooms/showers sparkle. Would stay again. We were in a small rig. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Haviland Lake, San Juan National Forest, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Come with water in your tank. Water restrictions in effect. They asked us not to fill our tank. Stop at hosts' sites and register before entering campground. Easy access, all sites wind around on hillside. Mostly level. A few lake sites. Roads in bad shape, drive slow. Vault toilets in good shape, clean, little or no smell. Beautiful lake. Nice to have electric in NF. Would stay again. We were in a small rig. We camped at Haviland Lake, San Juan National Forest in a Motorhome.
