Two Rivers Campground, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights at Two Rivers. Their customer service was excellent. I had to call to change my reservation which they did efficiently. The day of our arrival they called to confirm when we planned to arrive. Check in was quick. The campground itself is fairly typical of one close to a city -- generally open with the sites close together. Our site on the outer edge did have some trees. The site was gravel with a cement pad for the table. We needed a late check out and they accommodated us for that. Finally, I mailed some letters from the office which I forgot to put stamps on. They generously added stamps for me. Definitely above and beyond! We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

This campground is close to several others, next door to Camping World and near a mall, a BassPro Shop and the new Grand Ole Opry. We did not take it, but you can get a shuttle into Nashville. It's about a 15-20min drive into downtown Nashville. There did not seem to be a grocery store nearby.

Old Forge Camping Resort, Old Forge, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our 2 nights here. In addition to RV and tent sites, there are cabins and cottages. We stayed in a nice full hookup site in the 700 section. These sites were shaded and nicely spaced. The ful hookup sites on the other side of the park were pretty tight other than the waterfront sites. There is a shuttle bus that runs to the water park next door, but it was an easy walk as well. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained even though the park was packed. It was also an easy walk into town. We camped at Old Forge Camping Resort in a Truck Camper.

Chenango Valley State Park, Chenango Forks, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for the first time. We stayed in the Pine Bluffs loop on an electric site. It was shady and not too close to the neighbors. Other sites in the same loop were more open. There is a nice golf course in the park. The Pine Bluffs loop was walking distance to both the golf course and the beach area. We only stayed one night, but on a longer stay I would have like to rent a canoe or kayak to check out the lake. The only down side was that the shower had a push-button timer that only let the water run for about 45 sec. Also, there was limited hooks/shelf/bench to keep stuff dry while showering. However, the bathrooms were clean. We camped at Chenango Valley State Park in a Truck Camper.
