Lynchburg NW/Blue Ridge Parkway KOA (formerly Wildwood Campground), Monroe, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

"A gem in the Blue Ridge mountains!" This is a wonderful campground. The owners are the friendliest that I have met in 37 years of camping. I would reccomend this campground to anyone. It's a great base camp for exploring this region of Virginia and the Parkway. Also the campground is very dog friendly. I will definitely return here in the future. We camped at Lynchburg NW/Blue Ridge Parkway KOA (formerly Wildwood Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Bandits Roost COE, Wilkesboro, North Carolina

Another excellent COE campground. This one is 6 miles from Wilkesboro, NC on the Scott Lake. This is one of my all time favorite campgrounds. The sites are spacious and well spaced for some privacy. We have camped here twice and will return again. We camped at Bandits Roost COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground, Waves, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is truly a campground that lives up to its billing. All sites have concrete pads and are well spaced for a private campground. Everything you could want or need is either there or nearby. And North Carolina's Outer Banks are one of natures most beautiful places. This place is a little expensive but it might just be worth it. We will return in the future. We camped at Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Goose Point Campground COE, Bassett, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the prettiest campgrounds in the southeast US. The only flaw is that it is very tight if you are in anything over 30 feet long. Also the 5 miles into the property is steep and winding. Everything else is outstanding. We camped at Goose Point Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.
