If you're wine drinkers, be sure to visit New Clairveau east of Corning eight miles. Unique Benedictine monk winery. For dinner, check out Farwood Bar & Grill in Orland. Beautiful old ornate bar, great food & fun locals.

17 miles to Weaverville. Fun little town. The Alpen wines sold in the store are very good. Joss House in Weaverville is open Thursday-Saturday.

Hat Creek Resort & RV, Old Station, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Rustic-type campground with lots of trees. No WiFi or cell service. Our #7 site backed up to Hat Creek. Sites are very large with plenty of space between. Yurts, cabins, and a small motel on-site with a small store and deli inside. Volleyball court, basketball court, great for kids. We were there mid-week. Not crowded. Short drive into Lassen. Cell service 6 miles away. We camped at Hat Creek Resort & RV in a Motorhome.

Bandon By The Sea RV Park, Bandon, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Clean and friendly park right off Hwy 101 just south of town. Pull-through sites on the south side of the office are very close together. We would recommend staying away from that area as those particular pull-through sites are on a dead-end street, and driving a tow car in and out is a bit inconvenient (you will understand when you see the arrangement). The office has a book/DVD exchange, which is always fun. The sites have grass and a picnic table for use. We camped at Bandon By The Sea RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kimball Creek Bend RV Resort, Gold Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean quiet and shady park about 8 miles inland from Gold Beach. Riverfront sites available although we didn't have one. The roads through the park are tight. There is a clean clubhouse with TV and Wi-Fi service. The Wi-Fi at our site went in and out. The river is beautiful, with plenty of osprey to watch. Hydrojet boat tours pick up passengers down at the river dock for those wanting to take the tour. There is a fish cleaning station for fishermen. The laundry area looked to be very nice. We stayed here three nights. Very relaxing place! We camped at Kimball Creek Bend RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mad River Rapids RV Park, Arcata, California

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park near downtown. Very quiet - did not hear freeway noise at all. Spaces in the back are very roomy. The two ladies in the office were very nice. There is a Mexican restaurant next door but we did not eat there. Absolute BEST Farmer's Market on the downtown square on Saturdays from 9am-2pm! We camped at Mad River Rapids RV Park in a Motorhome.

Green Acres RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Nice small private park hidden off the road. Very clean, with extremely nice managers. Concrete pads with grass beside them. Many trees for shade. Wi-Fi was excellent. Did not check out bathrooms or showers. Nice grassy dog walk area. The park is close to downtown Redding & near the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay. Would happily stay here again. We camped at Green Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.
