Tremont Outdoor Resort, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in section B and had a river front site. The entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just across the river and it carries a large volume of noisy traffic. The campground basically offers RV parking in graveled spaces that equate to parking lot camping in a mountain atmosphere. Nothing special, the constant roadway traffic combined with the inner campground traffic seemed excessive. We camped at Tremont Outdoor Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Townsend / Great Smokies KOA, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The campground staff was friendly and helpful and the grounds were extremely well kept. The facilities were both modern and clean. We stayed in site #3 and although it was not a river front site, we had an excellent view of the river from our rear RV window and from the fire ring area that is located at the rear of each campsite. We will camp here again. We camped at Townsend / Great Smokies KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Pirateland Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is as peaceful and relaxing in late october as it is busy in the summer months. We practically had our pick of all sites in the campground. Even though the number of campers were down the staff made regular cleaning visits to the facilities to ensure everything was up to standards. The only reason I didn't give a ten rating was due to no Wi-Fi and the back in sites are a little tight for big rigs. Staff was top notch. What a pleasant camping experience. We camped at Pirateland Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazy Daze Campground, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are extremely close and require you to locate your neighbors and have them move their tow vehicles to allow you to back into your site. Even though this was Labor Day weekend, the pool was closed, I guess it was because the water was green, the overall campground appearance was trashy. Camp workers not very polite, when I made purchases at the camp store the worker would tell you how much was owed and never tender a thank-you or a smile. We camped at Lazy Daze Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Just what you would expect from Disney, everything was in order and everything had a price tag attached. The sites were a little tight for bigger rigs. I felt the extra charge for a pet was unnecessary,$5.00 extra per night. Stayed in the 700 loop which is close to the beach and most all activities. Considering the size of the campground it is the quietest we've stayed at. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
