Gros Morne RV Campground, Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our campsite was in the overflow area, but was fine since we were only staying a few nights. Clean facilities. Laundry cost was a bit confusing since each machine took a different combination of coins. 3 washing machines and 4 dryers. Dryers were for 5 minutes a cycle. Plan on 3 cycles for mostly dry clothes. Facility is within a good walk of Rocky Harbour. Easy to get to and out of. Recommend. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Peyton's Woods RV Park & Campground, Twillingate, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

What this place has going for it is location. The electricity could barely service the basics - was hard on our appliances. We were fortunate to have a site near the harbor and could monitor the iceberg there...that was spectacular! Internet only accessible at office and they charge for it. Laundry facilities, but did not need them. The campground is for sale and it was apparent the owners had ran out of energy maintaining it. Only campground this close to Twillingate. So, just be prepared and focus on the view. We camped at Peyton's Woods RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Arm of Gold Campground & RV Park, Little Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful location for ferry to NFL and scenery. Friendly and helpful staff. Well suited for motorhomes. Kind of pricey. Shower charge. Insects bad on sites nearest water. Very few trees - just made the campground seem very utilitarian. We camped at Arm of Gold Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sunset View Campground and Cottages, Hawkshaw, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: Campground directional signs from interstate good. Good security .Quiet area. Decently flat sites. Cons: Owner was rude, but in his defense, we didn't have reservations and arrived @ 9 PM, and he barely let us stay. Campground does not work on honor system for late arrivals and office didn't open until 10:30 AM. Internet didn't reach where our site was. Showers cost $1 each. Lots of bugs. A few of us had bites on our head. Seemed like a campground more for regulars than for those passing through. We camped at Sunset View Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.
