Rock Cut RV Park and Campground, Kettle Falls, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park. Owners are very welcoming and very involved in their park. Pride of ownership is evident here as seen through the meticulously cared for grounds, the immaculately clean facilities and the genuine care to guests by the owners. The park owners are animal lovers, so the park is very pet friendly. Lots of beautiful birds here and hummingbirds frequent the numerous hummingbird feeders near the entrance to the park. Our site was lovely, overlooking the river beside an abandoned railway track. Beautiful tall pine trees shaded our large site. Sites are well spaced. This park has recently become an adults only park, so our stay was relaxing and very quiet. I can't say enough good things about this gem of a park. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area and will plan a longer stay next time. We camped at Rock Cut RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Woodland Park Campground, Grand Marais, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park to stay at while exploring the area. We had a corner site which was quite roomy and had a bit more space than most between sites. Park is right on a lovely beach which is accessible by stairs. Park was clean and tidy. Some lovely shaded sites had hydro only. The church across the road has a clock chimes on the hour, quarter hour and half hour so we always knew what time it was. No reservations accepted here but there was no problem finding a site in June when we arrived early on a Friday afternoon. We would stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Woodland Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Blue Lake RV Resort, Naples, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great little campground, right off Hwy 2. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Owner switched our assigned site without us asking , so we didn't have to unhook. We appreciated the lovely, shaded site. There's a great deck overlooking the small lake where they serve wine and beer in the evenings. Try the Huckleberry Mimosa - delicious! Very well maintained camp. We would certainly return if we are in the area again. We camped at Blue Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tahquamenon Falls State Park, Paradise, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the Rivermouth modern campground. It was nicely laid out, with shaded, grassy sites. The sight were open to your neighbor, but spaced far enough apart to allow for some privacy. We were there in early June so it was not fully occupied and quite quiet. I can imagine it would be very busy at peak times. This campground was ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Tahquamenon Falls State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Be sure to see the Shipwreak Museum at Whitefish Point. Do the tour to the top of the lighthouse. The Falls were beautiful. Lovely paved and boardwalk paths.

Country Inn Motel & RV Park, Gander, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while we got our truck serviced in Gander. It was conveniently located to all shopping areas. We were given a choice from a number of vacant sites, and chose site 32. It was in a wooded section with hydro and water. Very private and quiet. There is a dump station on site and sites with FHU in an open area well suited for big rigs. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Roads had a lot of potholes which certainly kept traffic moving slowly. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. We would certainly stay here again when in the area. We camped at Country Inn Motel & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA, Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We made reservations a few days ahead thankfully, because the park was full and very busy when we arrived. It was a weekend and the weather was lovely. Lots of families with children enjoying the varied activities in the park. Our site was FHU and in a gravel area near the front of the park. There were many other great sites with lots of trees and privacy. When we stay again I will request one of these sites. The park and all facilities were extremely well maintained. The owners were helpful and very visible during our stay. We would recommend this park and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Island Cove Park, La Scie, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park as a base for our exploration of the northern Baie Verte Peninsula. The scenery at this location was amazing. Campsites are situated on high cliffs overlooking the ocean. Sunset views were beautiful. Facilities were older but very clean. Sites were gravel with neatly cut grass in between. Site 8 accommodated our 25ft trailer comfortably and longer sites were available. The electicity was only 20 amp which posed no problems for us. There was water hookups at the sites. No WiFi at the camp but available in La Scie at the library. The manager is quite a character and was very helpful and hospitable during our stay. The stunning location and her kindness made our stay in La Scie a very unique experience. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Island Cove Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of places to explore. Beautiful scenery. Don't miss the museum and Man Cave in Tilt Cove! Basic groceries and gas are available right in the village. The Outpost Museum and Tea House was great. Had two wonderful hosts for an authentic Island meal we enjoyed during our visit.

Haines Hitch-Up RV Park, Haines, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We are presently in the park and can honestly say this is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in during our 8 week visit to Alaska. The park is exceptionally well maintained. Lovely grassy well spaced sites. Bathroom, showers, and laundry facilities are spotless. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi works well and there is a great selection of TV channels available. I highly recommend this park. We camped at Haines Hitch-Up RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Riley Creek Campground (NPS Campground), Denali National Park, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on two different occasions and both times were able to get a very nice site. Sites are private and well spaced. Reservations are a must during peak summer time. You do not book individual sites. You reserve an "A" site for RVs over 30 ft or a "B" site under 30 ft. Reservations mean there will be an available site for you so get there early for a first come first serve choice. Some sites have short narrow drives, so parking your RV and tow vehicle will be tight. Facilities and sites are well maintained. We loved our stay. We camped at Riley Creek Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.
