Double J Campground and RV Park, Chatham, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Just a short drive out of Springfield and all the tourist sites. Mgt. was friendly, helpful and professional. The condition of the park showed their pride in it. Sites level, clean, and easily accessible. Most sites have shade and all are long enough for any RV, tow vehicle or towed vehicle with room to spare and set apart from the neighboring sites to feel comfortable. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. We camped at Double J Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cahokia RV Parque, Cahokia, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is in/near East St. Louis and is in an industrial area. Most spaces up front at least, where we were placed, were occupied by workers in some industry in the area. Construction? Most of those sites appeared to be seasonal or at least long term. So, loud trucks leaving at dawn.

Sites are back-in and are tight; especially with extra cargo trailers and second vehicles parked in and around each site. We had to park our tow vehicle tightly between the front side of our fifth-wheel and the neighbor's cargo trailer. The doors on our truck opening only 3/4 of the way. Road between opposing sites were already narrow enough, but protruding truck beds etc., made them tighter.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds needed some attention. Although with everyone stuffed in at our area, cutting grass etc. will have to wait.

Would we stay again? Yes, however, before site assignment I'd scout out the park for a site that had less clutter. We camped at Cahokia RV Parque in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is an adjoining BBQ café and food was good/prices fine. Recommend. As said, not a resort by any means and yet not a "bad" park. Just pretty crowded and busy in our front section.

Ozark RV Park, Mountain View, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Is it fancy? Nope. Is it a "resort" RV park? Nope. Is it clean, neat, well maintained, immediately next to the super fun Ozark Mountain Folk Center, staffed by the nicest folks you might ever meet, convenient to the town of Mountain View, have level, full service sites with morning paper delivery to your RV's front step? YES!

Seriously, we were treated as though we'd known the management and our neighbor RV'ers our whole life. FUN place. (Dulcimer Jam Session Monday Nights; Potluck Tuesdays.)

Stay here again? OH YEAH! And, if you want a laugh with the staff, tell him "B-O-B" sent you and says HI !! We camped at Ozark RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Twin Fountains RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest parks we've stayed in during our 3 years of travel. Paved and level pads set amongst trees for shade. Super friendly, professional staff; full range of services. Just around the corner from the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum....a MUST visit attraction. We stayed here 4 nights and it was quiet and comfortable without incident. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Twin Fountains RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lions RV Park, Tyler, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a pretty basic park; at first glance, not inviting; but once in and set up it measures up well. The owner assisted us and was from the get-go wonderful. They had just endured the rains (4" in one day alone) and thus had some work to do on the park. The Wi-Fi didn't work due to the rains but all other utilities were fine. She went out of her way to try and rectify the Wi-Fi issue. A good person and a good park. We would stay here again without hesitation. We camped at Lions RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lost Alaskan RV Park, Alpine, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a 33' RV while exploring the area and have found it to be very comfortable. The staff are friendly and professional and the park is clean and neat. Our site was typical of all others and was spacious and fully functional. It's obvious they take pride in the park. We will very definitely book here in the future. Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park), Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here for the first time en route to Texas and beyond. Staff very friendly and full of solid info about the area. The park, while older, is very clean, neat and well maintained with well placed mature trees. Internal roads are very wide allowing easy access to any site; all of which are very wide and long. All hook-ups worked fine and the pad was spot on level. We definitely will book our stays here as we travel again (Leaving Tucson, heading East, as well as headed home, and Las Cruces is one of only a couple choices on the way! :) ) The only "down side" was minor for us: trains. There is a major crossing quite nearby and they whistle passing by . Brief, infrequent, minor irritation, not a big deal for us really, but some folks are more sensitive to that I see. We are in a 33' RV. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.
