Green Mountain Family Campground, Bristol, Vermont

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The park is now under new ownership, so I don't think the previous negative review is not applicable any more. We came here into a full service site while we searched the area for a summer cabin. We have been here for over 2 months now on a very reasonable monthly rate of $600.00. The wifi is the best we have had in over 12 years of RVing. The new owner, works night and day trying to upgrade the park and is very responsive to our needs. There is occasionally a problem with old wiring to some sites, but he is diligent at getting the repair made ASAP. We would definitely stay here again. The grounds are lovely and the sites are well spaced. It is a rural location and we enjoy taking walks around the the park. We camped at Green Mountain Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Even though the park is on the edge of protected land, it is close to Bristol, a lovely little town with country charm. It has nice little shops, good places to eat and also has a great laundromat! It also has banks, post office, a good grocery store and even a good medical clinic.

Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort, Elephant Butte, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park! Our site was gravel and had no picnic table, but it was clean and the entire park is well maintained and it appears to be not too old. All the facilities are up to date. It has a great indoor pool and hot tub. We have extended our stay because there is lots to do within a reasonable drive. We travel in a 20' travel trailer so we were in one of their smaller sites, but it was wide enough to have our car sit beside our trailer. We would come here again. We camped at Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Grants / Cibola Sands KOA, Grants, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We have traveled extensively, initially in a motor home, full time, for nine years and now in a 20' travel trailer just in summers. We generally find KOAs to be over priced and not as consistent as we would like. However, this park is the best we have stayed in, bar none. We started off with a pleasant surprise when they gave us a "small rig discount." A reasonable discount, but the first time we have experienced it at a KOA. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered dinners you could order, made on site in a commercial kitchen and delivered to your rig. Our last experience was a very nice continental breakfast served daily at no charge! Even though we didn't use the bathrooms, we did use the laundry and it was clean and functional. Overall, a very pleasant experience. We camped at Grants / Cibola Sands KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Red Bluff RV Park, Red Bluff, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a 20 foot travel trailer. The park was clean and the staff was friendly. We stayed for 2 nights. The swimming pool was refreshing and well maintained. We have travelled a great deal over the past 10 years, both in a motor home and recently in a small travel trailer. This was the first park we stayed in that allowed us to wash our RV! We camped at Red Bluff RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Red Bluff is a nice little town. If you have the time, a drive into Redding and the Sun Dial Bridge is well worth the time.

Fort Stockton RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the park for 2 nights. We are traveling in a 20 foot travel trailer. We were "full-timers" for over 9 years in a motor home. So we have had lots of experience in parks. We had a very good experience in this park. The staff was friendly and helpful. An added bonus was the nice little café where we enjoyed a very nice and well priced dinner. We would stay here again. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Boston Minuteman Campground, Littleton, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here so we could visit Boston and Concord. The park is convenient to public transit into Boston and ample directions for getting into Concord and other attractions in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed here in a 20' camping trailer, but the sites were ample for much larger rigs. At first the sites seemed random and disorganized, but as the park filled, the sites were situated to take advantage of the terrain and tree separation. Good laundry facilities and great outdoor fire pits. We would stay here again. We camped at Boston Minuteman Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A Big Wheel RV Park, Saint Marys, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the park for 3 nights so we could see the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites are paved and level with room for much bigger rigs than ours. Even though the park is an older one, it is clean and well maintained. We would stay here again. We camped at A Big Wheel RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
