Sand Creek Campground, Chesterton, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We've been coming hear every year for 6 years, sometimes twice a year. The park has improved each year since we first came. The people that run it are sometimes difficult to understand, but they are very nice and help in any way they can. The park is very quiet even on holidays. The revelry stops a little after dark, so everyone can get a good nights sleep. It is well off the beaten path, no traffic noise. You can hear the train sometimes off in the distance, but I find it soothing not annoying. Will likely continue to come as long as we are able. We camped at Sand Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You can get to many other places easily, Beverly Shores, Michigan City, Valparaiso, La Porte, or Portage. We love the area restaurants, shopping, and antique stores.

On long stays we drive to Beverly Shores and take the train to Chicago for the day
