Cinnamon Creek RV Park, Minden, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very noisy, crowded campground with a lot of permanent residents. The site was gravel with grass growing in it, very narrow, almost too narrow for us. Way overpriced. We camped at Cinnamon Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sanger / Denton North KOA (formerly McClain's Camp Site), Sanger, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very basic campground, we were fortunate in that we got one of the concrete sites. Others all gravel, a lot of standing water around these sites-looked like many permanent rvs. Had tree by us, ants fell from trees. We ave trouble getting slide out, contacted office for possible help from RV repair on campground. Service people did not return calls-did not care- will never stay again. We camped at Sanger / Denton North KOA (formerly McClain's Camp Site) in a Fifth Wheel.

Alpen Rose RV Park, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Highly recommend this campground, very organized and friendly staff, large dog park, breakfast and pizza cooked in campground, grounds and sites all well maintained, clean laundry facility with a number of washer and dryers. Just a good place to stay for five days. We were with friends and our site's layout allowed us to face each other which was great! We camped at Alpen Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure you travel to Silverton and Ouray-Wow, what gorgeous mountains. A MUST, can't believe visitors do not travel into the Mts.

Gulf Breeze RV Resort, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this campground with our two grandsons (14 and 12). We have stayed here several times and really like it, the sites are easy to park in and are level and fairly spacious. Our main reason for staying was the basketball court and the nice indoor pool for our grands. Our only problem was their tv provider had changed to a digital only signal, we still have analog TVs so this is something they need to tell you before u get there and the wifi was terrible but....we really like the campground, its location and all the amenities so we will definitely return with a digital tv. We camped at Gulf Breeze RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Gunnison KOA, Gunnison, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Of all the KOA's that we have stayed in for the past 10 years of camping this was by far the most disappointing. It was rated high in our Woodall's book so thought we were safe, the sites are grass and are narrow, narrow with the utilities placed so that you are forced to face your neighbor door to door, thank goodness we had friends with us. The staff was semi-friendly, didn't really seem to care, the facility seemed clean but we did not wait around to see, we left after one night and will never stay there again. We camped at Gunnison KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort, Creede, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is one of the nicest that we have ever stayed at. Looking from the highway it looked like the RV's were packed in close together so were most delighted to large wide sites with gravel roads and sites, the views were wonderful with the river close by. The landscaping was the most attractive of our entire trip with flowers and bronze statues everywhere. The staff were most cooperative and friendly, we were surprised to see such a nice facility in the middle of "nowhere" on a beautiful scenic drive. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ridgway State Park, Ridgway, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ridgway State Park. We stayed in two of their campgrounds, mainly because their requirements for reservations are so confusing that we came in to one for one night and then transferred to another. The views of the mountains are spectacular, the river is close for fishing and there are numerous hiking trails around the park. This was a highlight of our three week trip to the West from Mississippi. We will plan to return to this State Park. We camped at Ridgway State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Durango Riverside Resort & RV Park, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We were very pleased with this KOA campground outside of Durango. The interior roads are dirt but are well kept, with many shade trees and beautiful views of the mountains. There is a cafe on the premises, serving breakfast, lunch and two nights there were BBQ's available. The personnel could have been a little bit more friendly but we will definitely return to this RV park. We camped at Durango Riverside Resort & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
