Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA, Trenton, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly and helpful staff. Campground was clean and everything appeared to be in good shape and well maintained with plenty of facilities and activities for kids. Campground is on a hillside so the layout can be a little confusing. Some sites appear to be very close to others, while others were well spaced. The hookups were well placed on our site (70) and in good operating condition. We did have a bright dusk to dawn light near our site, but we actually liked it as it made outdoor activities easier after dark, but could be a problem if you don't have dark window shades. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.

Clifty Falls State Park, Madison, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice state park campground. Spacious sites with gravel pads. Asphalt interior roads so nice for riding bikes. Electric only sites which is pretty typical for Indiana State Parks. Stayed for 3 nights during Madison's annual Chautauqua, which is a very nice arts and crafts festival. Several nice hiking trails within the park. Our site was very level, but not so true for some of the other sites. We camped at Clifty Falls State Park in a Motorhome.

Victory RV Park and Campground, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean, well kept, no frills RV park. Owners were very friendly and helpful. We stayed during the eclipse so the park was full. Only complaint was low voltage at the pedestal which often was below 110 volts and created some problems for our satellite receiver. It was very hot (90+), so this may not have been a problem with the parks electrical system. We had a corner site which did have one small willow tree that offered a little bit of shade in the morning. We camped at Victory RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Scenic Hills RV Park, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Overall, very nice campground. Check-in was quick and easy, just be aware that they do not take credit cards. The interior roads are all wide and easy to navigate. Site was level packed gravel. The utilities were all in good condition and easy to reach. The free firewood was an added bonus. No shower house, which was a little surprising, but with all sites having full hook-ups, I guess it is really no big deal for the most part. Location is super for visiting the area. We camped at Scenic Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rayford Crossing RV Resort, Spring, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 5 nights while in Houston visiting our son and daughter in law. I don't give many 10's, but this place definitely deserves it. Very easy check-in and the staff was very helpful and courteous. Enjoyed playing shuffleboard and ping-pong with our kids. Long list of amenities, many of which we did not have time to use. Bathrooms were always spotless. Laundry room was very nice and reasonably priced. Did have to pay to rent a fire pit, but it did come with decent sized bundle of wood, which was enough for the evening. We camped at Rayford Crossing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Texarkana KOA, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here two nights on our way to/from trip to Texas. Easy to find and easy after hours check-in system. As other have said, it is close to busy Interstate, but with AC running it was not objectionable and we were in only the 3rd row from the Interstate. Nothing fancy, but nothing to complain about either. We camped at Texarkana KOA in a Motorhome.

North Crest RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 2 nights to see the sites of Waco. Great little RV park. Sites are all level concrete and arranged in such a way that you really don't feel that you are very close to your neighbor. Nice canopy of trees also. It is obvious that the owner/manager takes pride in the park and are working to make even more upgrades. Very nice new permanent mount tables at our site. Utilities all worked well. The free WIFI was excellent and provided plenty of bandwidth. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Prophetstown State Park, West Lafayette, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground. Site was packed gravel, very large and level. Vegetation between sites made it very private. Utility hookups were in great condition. The sewer hookup was in very back corner and I did not have enough sewer hose to reach, but no big deal as we were only there 2 nights. Loved the 3+ mile paved bike trail. Very helpful and friendly staff at the check-in station. This is a fairly new state park built mostly in an open prairie, so much different scenery than many of the Indiana State Parks we have camped in. This is a top notch state park and campground. Please note when making reservation that the full hook-up sites are much more private than the electric only sites. Will return next fall. We camped at Prophetstown State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice, no frills campground. Most sites were shady and appeared to be fairly level. Good location for seeing the sites around the area. Restrooms were in great shape and very clean. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Motorhome.

Brown County State Park, Nashville, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice State Park. Sites are spread out over several loops so the campground is much larger than it first appears. The site quality can vary a lot even in the same loop, so choose carefully when making on-line reservations. For instance, our site was level asphalt with a gravel patio area, but some nearby sites were thin, uneven gravel. The sites are electric only with several scattered water spigots available for filling tanks. This is a huge State Park with many hiking, biking, and horse trails throughout. The camp store was well supplied and had longer weekend hours. There are only two dump stations, so wait times on Sunday afternoons can be long. We camped at Brown County State Park in a Motorhome.

Clifty Falls State Park, Madison, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Most of the sites are well spaced and fairly level. Interior roads are asphalt and easy to navigate, with packed gravel pads. Nice fire ring with a very usable grate for cooking. The campground was completely full but still seemed pretty quiet. AT&T signal was weak, but generally usable at our site. Only drawbacks of the park are no camp store and no water hookups. Historic downtown Madison is a short 5 minute drive. We camped at Clifty Falls State Park in a Motorhome.

Big Bone Lick State Park, Union, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We had a very nice 2 night stay. The sites are well spaced and are paved with a gravel patio area on most sites. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The two camp host seem to do a great job keeping an eye on everything. Very nice fire rings with adjustable grates. The camp store was very minimally stocked, but they close at the end of October so that was understandable. The 18 hole mini golf was not fancy, but was well maintained. Shopping and Restaurants were only 15 minutes away. Would stay again. We camped at Big Bone Lick State Park in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Trace Park, Palmyra, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little county park/campground. Most of the sites are will shaded and seemed to be fairly level. Small lake with a beach and paved walking/jogging path. Very nice 18 hole disc golf course. The campground seemed to be very well maintained. The electric and water hookups were modern and in excellent condition. The check-in staff were friendly and helpful. We camped at Buffalo Trace Park in a Motorhome.

Spring Mill State Park, Mitchell, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful, well kept state park. The bathrooms and shower houses seemed to be kept clean even though we were there on a busy weekend. Our pull-through site was sunny, but there were many shady sites throughout the campground. The water hookups can be fairly far away, so take extra hose. We used about a 100 feet of hose. Several of the sites do seem to have a fair amount of slope. We camped at Spring Mill State Park in a Motorhome.

Winton Woods Campground, Cincinnati, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. Good access roads and our site was fairly level. Popular local park for families so there were lots of kids and bikes. We had a water and electric only site, but they have a newer section with several full hookup sites. The only negative was that our site was next to a playground and kids were out playing until well past midnight and back the next morning around 7. Not a big deal, but something to consider for the lite sleeper. The campground is adjacent to a public park with nice walking/jogging paths around a lake. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Motorhome.
