Mono Vista RV Park, Lee Vining, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for the second time and again loved it. The park is green and most spaces are spacious. The view on Mono Lake is fantastic. Not all spaces are leveled so bring enough wood for leveling. No wood fires are allowed but you do have an own BBQ and of course a pick nick table. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hike down to the lake, it looks tough but it is not too bad. The path starts at the visitors center which is also worth a visit. Just relaxing after a few days of hiking is also a great option here.

Malibu Beach RV Park, Malibu, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $105.00
Overall Rating:

It is a nice RV park, but that's all and that does not justify the high price. Staff is friendly, although 2 minutes after check-out time they already knocked our door. All our slides were already in, all connections already put away. So it showed we were about to leave.

The store does have your basic needs if you run short in your chiller and if you spend more per night you will have a great sea view.

This RV is NOT at the beach, the CA-1 runs in between. When you leave you cannot exit the park going to Santa Monica, so it takes miles before you can turn. We camped at Malibu Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Anaheim Harbor RV Park, Anaheim, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

When you enter the park you think "looks great and green", that quickly changes into "this is bad". The service is the worst you can imagine. Personal activities are more important than customers, excuse me? They let me wait until they had discussed with a friend whether or not they would join the drinking party that evening. No smiles, no kindness, very bad attitude!

The restrooms and showers are outdated. The campsites have different sizes and it is up to the staff if you get a great spot with grass and a picnic table or if your windows are 2 inch apart of your neighbors.

A park can be made as good looking as you want, when the service you get is not good, it does not matter We camped at Anaheim Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Candlestick RV Park, San Francisco, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Yes it looks like a parking lot, but it has a great shuttle service to San Francisco. The shuttle goes several times in the morning and has several times for returning to the park. I have not seen the park dirty and the little green area's they have a well maintained and flowery. The spots could be a little bit wider indeed, but my actual time spend on the RV park was to sleep, shower, have breakfast and sleep again. So who cares about the wide of the space.

I visit here every year to visit San Francisco! We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

All very clean, very spacious, very friendly, etc. One small remark; they run a shuttle into Zion but in my opinion is leaves one hour to late and returns one hour to early. Making a hike is almost impossible, specially the long but the best hikes like Angels Landing and Observation Point. Only when you want to make long hikes and do not have a tow-car or motorbike, this is not your campground. I will return here but after I add a motorbike to my RV We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Camp Richardson Resort, South Lake Tahoe, California

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

There is no camp host, the spots are not clearly marked and when you finally find someone to ask, that person has no idea. The reception that checks you in has no idea how their camp site looks like and they gave us a very small site, absolutely not suitable for the motorhome we drive. There is no maintenance done and there is nobody checking and patrolling the campground for quiet hours and abuse. We camped at Camp Richardson Resort in a Motorhome.
