R Ranch in the Mountains, Dahlonega, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park. We were here under Coast to Coast and were given a great site in section RV5. It was a back-in with a concrete pad and lots of grass on both sides. There is Wi-Fi, but only at the Lodge (which is a beautiful facility). There is no cable tV, you have to use your own antenna or satellite dish. If you are an AT&T customer, you will have almost no cell coverage. We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed the park and surrounding area. We camped at R Ranch in the Mountains in a Motorhome.

Taos Valley RV Park & Campground, Taos, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The park is all gravel and sage brush, but was very pleasant. We were lucky enough to have a tree close enough to give us a little shade. There is no cable, but the 4 main networks came in well on our antenna. The wifi worked great. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It's near the main street of Taos and close to everything we wanted to do. We camped at Taos Valley RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Raton Pass Camp and Cafe (Formerly Cedar Rail), Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Close to interstate highway, but very quiet. Beautiful views in all directions. We had a pull-thru and didn't have to unhook the tow vehicle for our overnight stay. Our site was so level when we lowered the jacks, we were done. Owners are great and very helpful and friendly. It's a perfect overnight stop. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Raton Pass Camp and Cafe (Formerly Cedar Rail) in a Motorhome.

Cutty's Okoboji Resort Club, Spirit Lake, Iowa

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

This is a membership park with all the amenities you could want. The sites are level, shaded and plenty wide. We really enjoyed our week here. The only drawback is that the water is VERY hard. They even put a warning on the park map that it has high mineral content and you may need to change your filter frequently. They were telling the truth. We would still stay there again. We camped at Cutty's Okoboji Resort Club in a Motorhome.

Camp A Way, Lincoln, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This was a beautiful park with lots of shade trees. We stayed there over Labor Day weekend and the park was full. It is also right off the interstate, yet the park was very quiet. We had a great pull-thru with lots of space on either side. The cable & wifi worked very well. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Hart Ranch Camping Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park with concrete pads and patios. I did get the wifi to work, but it was so weak that it came and went - they need to work on that. The park sits in a valley and we did not have cell coverage while there, tho we did have it in surrounding areas. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Hart Ranch Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

AB Camping & RV Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good park, but we found that the site we were in was quite narrow. We stayed for only one night so it wasn't a problem, but staying longer it could feel pretty cramped. The staff were friendly. We would stay here again when passing through that area. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice, quiet campground. The entrance is right on the main street, but the campsites are set back and are very quiet. We stayed 3 nights and would probably stay here again. We camped at Beacon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cross Creek RV Park & Campground, Lake Ozark, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

It's a bit steep getting to your campsite, but the sites are terraced and we didn't have any trouble getting leveled. The staff here are among the most pleasant people we've experienced. Sitting on the porch to use the modem hookup was actually a plus -- getting to talk to other campers was very enjoyable. This is a beautiful place with tons of trees and therefore lots of shade. The pool was very nice with a fabulous view. We spent a full week here and would definitely stay again. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Diamond Caverns RV Resort and Golf, Park City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

We chose one of the few sites between 2 trees for a little shade. We had a bit of trouble getting level, but once done everything else was fine. The staff were very pleasant. The door to the laundry room is left open, so I had to clean out moths from the washing machines before use. The location couldn't be better for seeing the caves in the area. It's a nice park and we'd stay there again. We camped at Diamond Caverns RV Resort and Golf in a Motorhome.

Creekwood Farm RV Park, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

For the second year in a row, we have spent an entire month at this campground. We had a back-in site on the creek. The sites have been upgraded since last year, with gravel on the site as well as approximately 8' x 12' gravel patios at every site. It really cuts down on the mud when it rains. It's very quiet here, even though it's only about a mile off I-40. We've already reserved another month here for next year. We camped at Creekwood Farm RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shuman's RV Trailer Park, Canadys, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice park, though small. We had no trouble getting our 33' motorhome into our spot without unhooking the tow car. The owners were very friendly and helpful, even gave us home-grown garlic! We liked it so well that we're already planning a stop here on our next trip up I-95 in July. We camped at Shuman's RV Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We were lucky enough to get a site with concrete pad right in front of the beach. What a view! The campground was large and very well run. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have it all, here: 2 pools, a rec center, playground, huge laundry facility, snack bar, and a general store and so much more. It's a bit pricey, even though off season, but you couldn't find a nicer resort in which to stay. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Motorhome.
