Frontier Campground, Waynesville, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

An excellent facility, but the new management still needs a little work. All sites had full hookups, and all sites were shaded. Clubhouse and pool were nice. Owner seems a little inexperienced and overwhelmed, but they are fixing up the campground nicely. We camped at Frontier Campground in a Motorhome.

McCalla Campground (Closed), Mccalla, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2004 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The facilities were very good and have great potential. The manager was incredibly rude, apparently used to dealing with a rough clientelle. I felt like I was in a scene out of "Deliverance". Would never stop again. We camped at McCalla Campground (Closed) in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2004 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

A good facility with a lot of shaded sites. I would have rated it higher if it weren't for the outrageously high price. They wanted to charge me another $2 for air conditioning. The pig was a little scary. Apparently it roams the park as a campground pet. Wasn't too keen about meeting it face to face and nose to nose unexpectedly while hooking up the sewer hose. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave in a Motorhome.

A nice shaded, wooded campground. Facilities very well maintained. Quiet. Reach was a little long to the electric and water, but I had extensions up to 50'. Would definitely stay again. We camped at My Old Kentucky Home State Park in a Motorhome.

Cades Cove Campground (NPS Campground), Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2003 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This is hard to rate park for an RV. It is very nice for what it is: a well landscaped campground in a national park with few amenities. No power, electric, not even a bath house. If you're comfortable with that, it is a very nice park, nice campsites. We camped at Cades Cove Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.
