Memaloose State Park, Hood River, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful state park on the Columbia River. There is no river access from the park, but there is plenty of access in the area. Close to fun and trendy Hood River, lots of water activities, wineries and beautiful scenery. the only drawback is the closeness to I-84 so there's quite a bit of highway noise. We camped at Memaloose State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in the area. If you don't want to go to the casinos, there are some beautiful drives and some nice wineries pretty close by.

Sunset Bay State Park, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely state campground in a beautiful area. The rangers are very helpful. Sites aren't too close together and have trees/shrubs in between. Nice to have fire rings for each site. Sunset Bay is state park is more than just the campground and it is all beautiful. There's a fabulous hike along the ocean bluffs from the campground to shore acres. Can't wait to come back. We camped at Sunset Bay State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

High Sierra RV & Campground, Oakhurst, California

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We were a little apprehensive about this RV park based on some of the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the sites are a little close together, but we had adequate room. There's no stream, but that's probably due to the severe drought. The sites were all shaded. The bathrooms were clean. The manager was delightful and very helpful. We were there for three nights while we visited Yosemite and would definitely stay there again. There aren't a lot of amenities except free wifi, but we found that all our needs were met. We camped at High Sierra RV & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Bluff RV Park, Red Bluff, California

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A lovely park. Easy access to I-5, but not noisy. Pull through sites with full hook ups and 50 amp service if you need it (for $4 extra per night). Clean with small grassy areas at each site. Cable and free WiFi. The owners were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Nice park with a lot of amenities at a reasonable price. We camped at Red Bluff RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
