The Woodlands RV Park, Wellington, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay overnight while passing through. Camp host friendly & nice. Felt safe enough. Bare bones kind of park. A field with close RV sites. We had full hookups, 50 amp power & water so didn't need to use showers. For $20 it was a great value. Cash only but working on accepting credit cards. We'd stay here again. We camped at The Woodlands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gitche Gumee RV Park, Marquette, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

I made reservations 2 months in advance & was very clear about our rig & our needs (full hookups etc). I was told I'd have to make a full payment in advance. When we arrived at the campground, we were dismayed at the run down appearance, dirt sites, trash overflowing in the dumpster & flies everywhere. We had paid $45/ night for 5 nights which on check in he claimed was a "base" rate & that we owed another $120 for the hookups! We refused & did not stay. Look into the local township parks, they're great! We camped at Gitche Gumee RV Park in a Motorhome.

Munising Tourist Park Campground, Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We had a wonderful time here! We had to park in the overflow area which is 1st come 1st serve because to regular sites sell out months in advance. It was a level grassy lot with a good distance to power & water so bring lots of hose. We had problems with our power going out at the end of the day when the area was full. Clean restroom & showers. Right on the beach! Would stay again if in the area. We camped at Munising Tourist Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We attended the Blueberry Festival in Marquette & Presque Isle, 45 minutes away. Munising boat tours were very close. Close to Pictured Rock National Lakeshore. Lots of waterfalls & lighthouses nearby. Don't miss Johnny Dogs gourmet hotdogs & Piggy Fries! We kayaked out to Grand Island & saw a shipwreck!

Kritter's Northcountry Campground and Cabins, Newberry, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 nights passing through. Sites were level on grass. Good 50 amp power. Since it was last minute, we did not get a full hookup site. Clean bathrooms & showers. Ice & firewood available. Beach volleyball & horseshoes. Campers park in opposite directions which maximizes space. We camped at Kritter's Northcountry Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We went to Whitefish Point 45 minutes & Taquamenon State Park & Falls <30 minutes. Don't miss Browns Fishery restaurant in Paradise. Fresh delicious fried or broiled Whitefish. Would also be fairly central to go to Pictured Rocks or Sault St Marie

Waterways Campground, Cheboygan, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this park! The owner was very nice & helpful, the site were fairly level, grass & of a decent size. The bathrooms clean though nothing fancy. There were fire rings & picnic tables at each site. Quite a few seasonals. The biggest plus for us was the location, right on the Cheboygan River which leads into Mullett Lake. We had great fun paddling up the river in our kayak! We camped at Waterways Campground in a Motorhome.

Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park, Belleville, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here to tour the Henry Ford Museum, Detroit & Ann Arbor & it was very convenient. Sites are on grass, level, good size although it's just a big fairgrounds field. Utilities worked well. 50 amp power. Not a destination park but very functional. Would definitely stay here again We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Louise F Cosca Regional Park, Clinton, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while touring Washington DC. It was a very convenient 15 minute drive to the Metro. This small, wooded campground has very few level sites, very poor power (we had to run our generator for A/C or our surge protector would turn off the power) and the bathrooms are clean but old & buggy. With the senior discount, it was still a good value & no reservations were needed. In spite of the power issues would stay here again if touring D.C. We camped at Louise F Cosca Regional Park in a Motorhome.
