Peculiar Park Place RV Park, Peculiar, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice, clean park. Every site has a view. Sites were small but level. Campground was very full so had to take a spot without sewer hook up. Loved the trail and walked it every day. Staff was very helpful. Laundry reasonable - only $1.50 a load. Close to Kansas City. We camped at Peculiar Park Place RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice village park just down the road with a trail to the little Grand River. Lots of restaurants and flying J at the exit. If you need work done on your RV, Transwest is just up the road in Belton. Highly recommended. Very professional.

Water Sports RV Park & Campground, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here because it was the only place near Dodge City where we could come in after hours. Park roads had big holes. Sites were level and easy to pull into. Missed most of Dodge City by coming in from the south. Everything worked. Fine for one night. We camped at Water Sports RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here during Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta so price was higher than usual. Very clean, fun RV Park. Laundry uses credit cards. Cost $10 to wash and dry two loads. Beautifully landscaped with quirky sculptures. Nice concrete patio and great views. 3/4 mile walking trail great for dogs and humans. Convenient to everything in Santa Fe. Helpful when we had a trailer brake issue. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

High Desert RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Our favorite place to stay in Albuquerque. Clean and quiet. Close to neighbors but sites wider than lots of other places. Price per night was double the usual because of the Balloon Fiesta. Flat sites with plenty of space. Convenient to I-40. We camped at High Desert RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA, Bernalillo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there during the Balloon Fiesta. We didn't know we would were visiting during huge busy time. We were lucky to get an RV spot at all. Shoe-horned into the park. Spaces were very tight. Not the best neighborhood. But convenient to I-25 and US 550. Park was clean and neighbors respectful of space. Laundry clean and reasonably priced third morning there the balloons flew over us to land just north of the park. Very cool. We camped at Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Grants / Cibola Sands KOA, Grants, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Called us immediately when there was a problem with our reservation. Worked with us to resolve it. Very nice, clean park typical of KOA Journey. Had a good restaurant on site and provided free continental breakfast. Next to El Malpais National Monument. Cable was good but free internet was slow. We camped at Grants / Cibola Sands KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cottonwood Steakhouse was excellent. Pick up the "101 Things to Do in San Juan County." Excellent guide to what is available. Bluff wants to be "The Gateway to Bears Ears National Monument" so starting to get more developed.

Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground, Kaibab, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a basic park but it is spotlessly clean with a big clubhouse that anyone can use. Internet was the best of anyplace we have stayed. Fast enough for streaming unless the Park was full. We stayed here four months as we explored the area. No cell service. Close to Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Great price and half that if you have Passport America. Staff at the park were responsive to any problems and made repairs quickly. The park is on top of a hill with great views all around. The night skies were gorgeous. The campground is Dark Sky certified. We camped at Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Kanab Utah is the closest shopping with lots of tour companies. Went to Peekaboo Canyon with Windows on the West Hummer Tours. You can hire a native guide if you want to hike in the reservation. Trail beside the park leads to great views north or to convenience store to the south.

J & H RV Park (55 + Park), Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely little gem tucked away in Flagstaff. Ages 55+. Shady and cool. Sites were close together but lots of common areas for anyone to use. Lots of rules, but kept a sense of humor about them. For instance "No standing or tap dancing on table." Very clean and quiet. No outside lights after 9 pm because Flagstaff is a Dark Sky City. Will stay here again. We camped at J & H RV Park (55 + Park) in a Fifth Wheel.
