Alamogordo/ White Sands KOA, Alamogordo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We recently stayed at White Sands KOA in Alamogordo NM and really liked it. We were originally only staying one night but ended up staying for a few days more because it's so nice. There are pull-through FHU sites available for some sites and there is a dump station onsite. Our gravel site was very level and spacious. There is a little fence between sites. We had a table at our site. They have a laundromat, swimming pool and a playground. Their wifi worked well and our Verizon was also good. We camped at Alamogordo/ White Sands KOA in a Motorhome.

Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We recently stayed at Rancheros RV Park in Santa Fe NM and would not stay here again. Unless you're lucky enough to get one of the FHU's in the very front of the park the rest of the park is on a hill and has terrible dirt roads that are very uneven and narrow. The sites are on dirt and there are trees to maneuver around. We have a 40' motorhome and had to use extra wood to level. Our site had 50amp and water but the electric could not keep up with running our A/C and microwave or cooktop at the same time. The park uses well water and the water pressure was so low that we filled our fresh tank and used our water pump instead. We stayed a week and were not able to use their wifi after the 1st night but our Verizon worked well. The dump station is in a circle on a little hill with trees opposite so the whole area is not big-rig friendly. We camped at Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground in a Motorhome.

Yankton / Missouri River KOA, Yankton, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay at the Yankton/Missouri River KOA. It was easy to get to and our FHU pull-through site was very level and more spacious than most places we've stayed. Our coach was on gravel with a fire ring and picnic table on grass in between. We didn't check out the bathrooms or laundry facilities. Our Verizon jetpack worked fine but their wifi was even faster. Some sites had more shade than others and there is a pool, shelter area for get-togethers and a large playground area with a huge inflatable jumping trampoline. Cabins were also available to rent. I know KOA's can be pricey but this was very reasonable and we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Yankton / Missouri River KOA in a Motorhome.

Worland RV Park, Worland, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This morning we left Worland RV Park in Worland WY and we would definitely stay again. It's a very nice small park and the owners really care about their park and are making it even better. Our pull-through FHU site was on gravel and most have grass in between sites. The site was very level with enough space for our towed car behind our 40' coach. They have laundry facilities and their wifi was good. We didn't use their bathrooms or showers but they looked very clean. We asked for a site with no trees because of our satellite dish but most have trees if wanted. We had a picnic table available and our Verizon worked fine. When checking in I was loaned a booklet which described nearby things to see and do and it was very helpful. We camped at Worland RV Park in a Motorhome.

All Seasons RV Park, Rozet, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

My husband and I stayed for a week and really enjoyed this park. It's located just 15 minutes from Gillette and is very quiet with a great view. It's a small park and had everything we wanted. All sites are very spacious FHU pull-throughs and our coach was on red gravel with grass in between sites. Our site was very level but some of the spots closer to the entrance are not as level so stay closer to the restroom / laundry building. There are almost no trees so it's satellite-friendly and there was a picnic table at our site. The owner is very nice. We found their internet to be slow but we only tried it once and then just used our Verizon jetpack. We camped at All Seasons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pony Soldier RV Park, Lingle, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We just left this park and we thought it was an excellent value using Passport America. It's a small park but the FHU sites were level and big enough for our 40' motorhome and toad. Almost every site is a pull-through and there is very little shade. The streets are gravel and the RV's are on grass but we didn't sink at all even after being there 3 days. There is a small laundry room and the owners were very nice. There seems to be quite a lot of long-term residents staying here but they kept everything picked up and there wasn't a 'trashy' look at all. We camped at Pony Soldier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Eagle Soaring RV Park, Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very small park. All sites are pull-throughs. Sites are level and a decent size. There are no amenities other than bathrooms and showers. When you enter the park the camper in site #1 is who you check in with and pay. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Motorhome.

West View RV Resort, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful park and we highly recommend it. It's only been open a year and the owners did a great job setting this up. The sites are very level and spacious. The RV's are on gravel but there is a large grass area in between sites. The laundry had four washers and four dryers and was quite reasonable. The showers are in private bathrooms behind the office/clubhouse and looked very clean. There is a happy hour every day M-F but we didn't go. There are grills for public use and bocce ball. We would definitely go back. The odd thing is that sometimes the park is listed as being in Cortez but on other devices it's considered in Dolores. We camped at West View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fort Pierre Motel, Fort Pierre, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The motel doesn't list it on their web site but they have 6 FHU sites. All are divided by a small fence and are a good size. The sites are level and in a good location in town. The parking lot is huge so plenty of space to back in. The owners/managers of the motel are very nice.

The entrance is on Highway 83 so if your GPS tells you to turn onto a side street, like ours did, it's wrong and don't do it. We camped at Fort Pierre Motel in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Ridge Camp Resort, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Park is in a very good location but nothing special. We have a 40' motorhome and were parked along with other big rigs in a row that sloped to the front quite a bit so bring blocks for your tires. Sites are very close together. They have a mini golf course but it was very small and not in good shape at all so we never even used it. The best part of our stay was the almost 50% discount on tickets for the Buffalo Ridge theater. The 4 shows there were great. We camped at Buffalo Ridge Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Musicland Kampground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent and it's right around the corner from the main street. We asked the staff to get many show tickets for us and they were always very friendly and helpful. Our site was in a section labeled 'satellite friendly' which was really nice because there are a lot of trees there. We did our laundry here and the washers and dryers were very cheap. The only negative about the park is the pool table. It's located in the laundry room but costs 75 cents. We've never had to pay to use a pool table in an RV park before and there was a huge tear on the table; it looked to be deliberate. After putting in the money we only got 1/2 the balls so called the office to get our money back. We camped at Musicland Kampground in a Motorhome.

Trails RV Park, Walker, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our 4-night stay here. They have some pull-throughs and a LOT of space in between sites. We didn't use the restrooms, showers or laundry but the grounds are very well maintained. Our site was level with gravel and our Verizon signal was good. We checked their Wifi signal and it was the best we've ever seen at a campground. As we were getting ready to leave we discovered one of our coach's tires was low and they had a heavy-duty compressor which they let us use. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We camped at Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camp Lutherwood, Long Valley Junction, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Our rate reflects a PA discount and having a 'good attitude'. The campground is small and the sites are pull-throughs and mostly level, grass and spacious. It's very quiet and the campground hosts, Karen and Carl, are extremely nice and accommodating. The only negative aspect is the 2 mile dirt/gravel road leading into the park but is certainly not a reason not to stay here. Our toad was completely covered with dust but we were allowed to wash both vehicles. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it twice. We camped at Camp Lutherwood in a Motorhome.
