Log Cabin RV Park, Jasper, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

They really only have 2 pull through sites and they are end to end. We were there for 1 night and were lucky as there was no one else in the second pull through site. Nothing special about this park as almost all the sites are long term occupancy. It worked for us as it it right by US 190. Water pressure was good and so was voltage. Wifi worked pretty well and they have free ice and a free use of a large washer and dryer. We camped at Log Cabin RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for 3 nights and had been here once before a few years ago. Right by the Mississippi River but you have to walk down to the river to get any views. Site was a pull through and fairly level. Water pressure was good and so was electric voltage. Only bad thing is the 6 or 7 speed bumps you have to deal with to and from your site if you are way down on the end like we were. I had made the reservation 4 days earlier and when I called to make it they acted like they only had 2 sites to choose from and while we were there for the 3 nights there were at least 20 sites that were never occupied, go figure. It is a pretty good park but not in the good part of town. It seemed safe enough though. Wifi was hit and miss. I had to park the truck parallel to the street as the site was not long enough to park in it. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Service Park Campground COE, Coffeeville, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

We had a back in site that was over 90 feet long, concrete and very easy to back into. Had so much shade I had to get out my 100 foot satellite to get a signal but I did. Water pressure was good and so was voltage. If this park had sewer hookups it would be a 10. Only drawback is that the town of Coffeeville has nothing, just an Exxon station that had a horrible parking lot in the back where you had to go for diesel. It is 15 miles or more to any town that has anything. Park is half a mile off US84. We were only there for one night but would stay again if back through the area. We camped at Service Park Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Cherry Blossom RV and Mobile Home Park (formerly Pecan Point RV Park), Dothan, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We were only going to stay one night but had truck problems and stayed two nights. We had a good level, gravel site with good water pressure and voltage. Easy to get a satellite signal so we were good. As others have said it is mostly long termers/permanents but they were no issue. There were no junky rigs and park was well kept up. We would stay hers again if in the area. We camped at Cherry Blossom RV and Mobile Home Park (formerly Pecan Point RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Grassy, level site with good water pressure and voltage. No WIFI but was able to get a satellite signal so that was good. We were just here for one night. We would stay here again if back in the area. Good value and they honor the Good Sam card. We camped at L & D RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA, Gaffney, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We checked in and they led us to a site that was very unlevel and so close to other sites that when I did get backed in there was no way our auto leveling system could work to get it level. So they found another site that we could make work. Thankfully all the utilities worked OK but there is no way we would ever go back. Why do they ask you for your rig size if they are not going to pay attention to it? Just another overpriced and undervalued KOA! We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Travel Trailer.

North Carolina State Fairgrounds Campground, Raleigh, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 4 nights for the Bluegrass music awards show. Not easy to find but we got lucky and when my wife called to see where it was we were parked by a huge facility and the security guy was right behind us so he just led us to the park and checked us in. Very nice guy. As others have said it is behind the horse facility but you have to look closely for the campground sign as it is very small and we drove right buy it as it is on a sign with other wording about the horse facility. Nice level site with good utilities and open sky to get a satellite shot. Very busy city but we had no problem finding parking downtown. We would definitely stay here again if back in the area. We camped at North Carolina State Fairgrounds Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Asheville East KOA, Swannanoa, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We were only here for 1 night. We got there and pulled up in front of the office and went inside to check in. They said someone would lead us to our site. So we followed him all around a big loop and pulled into a pull through site right beside where we were parked to check in. I could have backed up 30 feet and then turned right and pulled right into the site. Typical crazy KOA! We do not like KOA but every once in a while we relent and use one but they are mostly overpriced and undervalued. But we could manage for 1 night. Utilities were good. We camped at Asheville East KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Cumberland RV Park, Bronston, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for a week. Site was a grassy pull through that was fairly level. Utilities were good. We were there beside our best friends who were born and raised in the area so we mostly spent the week with them showing us all the sights. The park only has about 9 sites for transients as it is 98% permanent residents. Close to Somerset which has all the eating and shopping places you might need, We camped at Lake Cumberland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Whispering Hills RV Park, Georgetown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for a week. Roads are very dusty when dry and messy when wet. Site was a pull through and only long enough for our trailer. Fortunately, there were some parking spaces right across the road in front of our trailer. Wide open site with good utilities. Very narrow road for a half a mile just before you get to the park. There were lots of permanent residents but that is becoming normal all across the country with all the worker bees there for construction jobs. If back throught the area we would stay there again. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Olive Branch Campground, Oregonia, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We had made the reservation several months ahead of arriving and had asked for a site where we could get satellite reception. when we got there that put us in a site that a row of very tall trees 50 feet from the site. Also, the site sloped a lot down from front to rear. Our automatic leveling system just barely was able to get level. When our friends got there the next day I was able to set up our dish on their site to get a signal. They obviously save the best sites for their regular customers. We were there for 4 nights and would probably look elsewhere if back in the area. We camped at Olive Branch Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Valley Breeze RV Campground, Grayson, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Glad to have found this place but if you are looking for all kinds of amenities this place is not for you but it works just fine for us to chill for a few days after doing some one nighters. Long, level, full hookup sites with great power and water pressure. 40 foot long concrete patio beside your RV which is parked on level gravel. Room to park tow vehicle also. This is an old mobile home park that they have converted to an RV park and added 5 pull through sites which are at least 100 feet long. We camped at Valley Breeze RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Do not follow your GPS, as you head north on Highway 7, turn left on C W Stevens/1947 which is a much better road than your GPS will take you on as it is straighter and wider. Plenty of fuel and eating places close by. Closest Walmart is about 25 miles away.

We stayed here 2 nights in a long pull through site. Water pressure and voltage was very good. Site was level and there was no one on our door side. Easy to get a satellite signal. We had a long pull through site that sloped a little over a foot from back to front. Water pressure and voltage was good. Only real bad thing was that the neighbors on our door side had 2 big dogs tied up outside. It was OK as long as the owners were there but when they left in the evening and didn't get back until almost 11 the dogs barked continuously. My wife called the office number but no one answered. If back in the area we would look elsewhere. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We only stayed here because my wife wanted to stay here. We had a short pull through site and I had to park the truck crossways in the site. Water pressure and voltage was good. I was able to get a signal on the satellite dish or it would have been a disaster. Restrooms and laundry are not air conditioned and it was in the 90's while we were there. We were there for 3 nights as we were in the area for a Bluegrass concert at the Ryman. We would not stay here again as it is just another overpriced and undervalued KOA which is the case for 90% of them.
