Valley Breeze RV Campground, Grayson, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Glad to have found this place but if you are looking for all kinds of amenities this place is not for you but it works just fine for us to chill for a few days after doing some one nighters. Long, level, full hookup sites with great power and water pressure. 40 foot long concrete patio beside your RV which is parked on level gravel. Room to park tow vehicle also. This is an old mobile home park that they have converted to an RV park and added 5 pull through sites which are at least 100 feet long. We camped at Valley Breeze RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Do not follow your GPS, as you head north on Highway 7, turn left on C W Stevens/1947 which is a much better road than your GPS will take you on as it is straighter and wider. Plenty of fuel and eating places close by. Closest Walmart is about 25 miles away.

Sun Roamers RV Resort, Picayune, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 nights in a long pull through site. Water pressure and voltage was very good. Site was level and there was no one on our door side. Easy to get a satellite signal. It is a large park but was not noisy at all even though there were lots of kids there. We would stay here again. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

White Acres Campground, Bardstown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We had a long pull through site that sloped a little over a foot from back to front. Water pressure and voltage was good. Only real bad thing was that the neighbors on our door side had 2 big dogs tied up outside. It was OK as long as the owners were there but when they left in the evening and didn't get back until almost 11 the dogs barked continuously. My wife called the office number but no one answered. If back in the area we would look elsewhere. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park), Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed here because my wife wanted to stay here. We had a short pull through site and I had to park the truck crossways in the site. Water pressure and voltage was good. I was able to get a signal on the satellite dish or it would have been a disaster. Restrooms and laundry are not air conditioned and it was in the 90's while we were there. We were there for 3 nights as we were in the area for a Bluegrass concert at the Ryman. We would not stay here again as it is just another overpriced and undervalued KOA which is the case for 90% of them. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

KV'S RV Camping and Storage, Hartselle, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We were just here for the night and it is a perfect place for that. Only about a mile form the freeway and easy to get to. Good voltage and water pressure. Has a n ice small dog park. Shopping and eating places close by. We would stay here again. Site was gravel and pretty level. They are somewhat close together but for one night doesn't matter to us. We camped at KV'S RV Camping and Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

Jennings Ferry Campground COE, Eutaw, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

We had a very long backin site and it was very level. Lots of shade but I was able to set up the satellite dish and get a good signal. We were right across from the restroom which is air conditioned which is very nice. We had stayed here 8 years ago and noticed that the roads, streets and such to get to the park are really in bad condition but they are working on them. If they had sewer hookup this park could be a 10. The only really weird thing about this park is their gate locking procedure. The host locks the gate at 10 PM and unlocks it at 6 AM. It is a keyed lock and not a combination like some places use and give the campers the combination. If you were to have an emergency you have to go to the host and have them unlock the gate and also that means you better be back before 10. seemed strange to us. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Just spent one night passing through which this park is great for. Close to I-10 and all sites for short-termers are pull-through. There is a new Cajun restaurant on the other side of the freeway that we tried and it was very good. Plenty of fuel stations real close. This was our 4th time to stay there. The only bad thing is that they no longer honor Passport America. They also have a nice pool. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lufkin KOA (formerly Lufkin RV Resort), Lufkin, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We were only here for 1 night thankfully. 3 restrooms: 1 stays locked for handicapped people only, 1 had the commode stopped up, and the 3rd was working but there was no toilet paper. Also, our neighbor had a large dog that made large deposits that the owner did not pick up, so I told the office. They told him to pick it up but he only made a halfhearted attempt at it. Many long term people here as I saw a kid about 8 or 9 coming home from school. Actually, just a typical KOA which is all about the dollar. Water pressure was just adequate and voltage was good. We would not stay here again. We camped at Lufkin KOA (formerly Lufkin RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Pines RV Park, Texarkana, Texas

Overall Rating:

We were here for 4 nights. Park is very nice but when we arrived the grass was up to our dog's belly and was not mowed for the 4 days we were there. Laundry was fine. Water pressure and voltage was good. Easy in and out with the pullthru sites. We would stay here again. We camped at Shady Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground, Yuma, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for 4 nights and it served our purpose very well. Site was gravel and pull-through and pretty level. Water pressure and voltage was good. They have everything including onsite RV techs and RV washing. Nice pool although we didn't use it. Gas stations and eating places within 2 miles. Plenty of places to walk pets but no fenced pet area. Lots of Civil War history in the area which we saved for another time. We would definitely stay here again if in the area or going through. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lebanon/Cincinnati NE KOA (formerly Cedarbrook Campground), Lebanon, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed here for 1 night as we were passing through. Weird layout as sites are set in all directions. As someone previously said sign at entrance would be easy to miss if not really looking for it. Road in is one lane only. It might be a good idea to leave a trail of crumbs like Hansel and Gretal to find your way back out. It is easy to see an empty pull through and think it is the road. Price is way too much for gravel roads and sites of chalky rocks. Our site was not level at all. Water and electric was good but cable was low quality. We would look elsewhere if we happen to be back this way. We camped at Lebanon/Cincinnati NE KOA (formerly Cedarbrook Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park, Effingham, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We were only going to stay overnight but had truck problems on the way and had to limp in and ended up staying a week to get the truck fixed. We had a level, gravel pull through site. Only problem was I couldn't get a signal on our DirecTV dish because the sats were right beside a 138,000 volt electric line that interfered with the signal so we just used their cable to get news. Park employees were very accommodating since we had truck problems. We would stay here again. We camped at Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our 4th time to stay here and we enjoy it every time we do stay here. We always get one of the sites close to the river as we like to watch the tows go by. All utilities are good. Close to any shopping you might need. Site was level concrete. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Old Mill Run Park Campground, Thorntown, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We did not stay at this park. We checked in, paid, and went to our assigned site. First problem was the signs for the rows were not correct. When we realized where our site was I walked down to it and the site was about 40 feet long but sloped at least 3 feet from rear to front. I knew there was no way I could get our trailer level. We went back to the office and told them we weren't staying and why. This park is about 95% long term and they save the worst sites for overnighters as we were. The long term sites are very nice and they have lots of things to do. We headed on down the road and about 30 minutes later they called and said they would refund our fee, which was nice. We camped at Old Mill Run Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
