Timber Valley SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only), Sutherlin, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Have tried this park twice in two years. It has no cable, no TV, and the WiFi is useless. There is nothing to do, no library, no movies-nothing. They spray poison all over the park like there is no tomorrow-even where the creek runs thru. Remembering this from my first visit, I asked on a daily basis during each visit if they were going to weed spray so that I could 'move on'. Each time, on a daily basis, the answer was a resounding 'no'-each time the maintenance man was out spraying the entire park leaving no where to safely walk myself or my dog. The people who live there 'tromp' themselves and their dogs right thru it without hesitation. I have no issue with what they do with their park; I have a BIG issue being LIED to repeatedly. This is a tired, ugly park not deserving of the SKP designation. We camped at Timber Valley SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Fifth Wheel.

Castle Air Museum RV Park, Atwater, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We had trouble making reservations. Host did not listen to what type of rig I had and kept changing my site number based on my 'Airstream' (I don't have an Airstream!) When I arrived, the site assigned to me was next to a large, off-leash, big barking dog with the people listening to loud radio. I asked to be moved. The wife of the Host was very kind and understanding. The Host however, verbally 'reamed me a new one' and threatened to kick me out if I did not like loose, barking dogs and radios (said that's what you get if you RV). His wife moved me and told the people to put their barking dog on a leash so I could take my small dog safely out on a leash. Sheesh! Listened to the big barking dog the entire stay and people talking loudly at 5:30 a.m. while warming up their trucks to go to work. Site areas dirty. Been full-timing since 2000! OK, I guess, if too tired to move on. Won't stay again. We camped at Castle Air Museum RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cannon Beach RV Resort, Cannon Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The Good - great indoor pool, lovely location, quiet, and close enough to town to ride bus or bike. Outside maintenance staff hard working and helpful.

The Bad-Office personnel lack customer service skills or experience, do as little as possible, and are more interested in visiting with each other than serving customers. Low tree limbs and sloping sites make large rig parking a chore in many sites. Lots of dog poop everywhere.

The Ugly -Neighborhood people with large dogs are allowed to bring their dogs into the park off leash, tromp thru occupied sites, and not pick up after their dog. My complaint to the office staff met with dismissal and a wave of the hand, "Oh, they are local and allowed to come in without a leash-the dog is under verbal command." What command are they waiting for? "Please,Fiedo, don't kill that little dog that is on a leash and poop now before we get home." We camped at Cannon Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
