Wishon Reservoir Lily Pad Campground, Wishon, California

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful National Forest campground run by PG&E. The are only 12 sites. All are very close to the lake and are spread apart so privacy is not an issue. There is a boat ramp close by and great hiking around this 6500 foot elevation lake. We camped at Wishon Reservoir Lily Pad Campground in a Motorhome.

Dorabelle, Shaver Lake, California

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This was a beautiful park close to Shaver Lake. Most sites do not have a view of the lake but the lake was very close to all spots and the boat ramp was very close as well. It was off-season so the park was almost empty but the sites were well spread-out. Beautiful hikes all around. We camped at Dorabelle in a Motorhome.

Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground, Zephyr Cove, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder because I thought this place was so bad that I had to leave after one night. You can not reserve a spot and they put me next to the bathrooms and within inches of two other RV's. Each site has a fire ring but if your neighbor lights up, prepare to get smoked out! The staff was friendly but would not move me even thought spaces in the back were open. And, although Lake Tahoe is across the highway, there is nothing up here in this part of Tahoe to do and no way to get to the South Shore without a car. We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
