Lake Mayfield Resort, Mossyrock, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed last year but at the normal $50 per night with a fantastic spot up on the grass near the small swim area. Beautiful lake. This year we booked under our RPI membership at a significant discount. It was a busy weekend and it definitely got crowded. Great fishing nearby on the Cowlitz for summer run steelhead. Fishing right around the resort is very poor. Really need a boat IMO. Could not use sewer in site 65 as I did not have more than 15' and the slinky would have run uphill a bit. Site was right next to the store. We got there on a Thursday when the place was fairly empty but they said that was one of the RPI sites. Guess I can't complain much when it was only 10 bucks per night. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Motorhome.

Sun & Fun RV Park, Tulare, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Found this small (59) site park quite nice for a day or two layover heading north on 99. Sites were large enough, fully paved with lawn in between. Nicely clean and the guy in the office was very cordial. Pool was closed as there was a leak in the spa. Spent a few hours in downtown Tulare going through thrift stores. Some really good ones. There is a train track running about 1/4 mile from the park but I didn't find it particularly annoying. Nice RV gas station just outside the park. We camped at Sun & Fun RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Francisco RV Resort, Pacifica, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We have many friends in the Bay area and finding a place to stay can be difficult. We have stayed at 2 different RV parks in Marin County, but this is the best we have found. Just a short 15 minutes to the City and very close to Safeway, fuel, and a few restaurants. Sitting above the ocean we had a beautiful view of the Pacific, though the cliffs of Pacifica are gradually being lost to the constant pounding of the surf. A whole row of sites on the edge of the cliff have been lost.

Park is a fully paved one and the sites are not spacious by any means, but it worked for us with full hookups. This is an expensive park as you would suspect given the area, but with our RPI membership we were able to secure two nights for $38 plus tax.

We will be back next year and plan to stay longer. Very satisfied with the park and location. Even the weather cooperated with beautiful afternoon sun. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Diamond Point RV Resort, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We used our RPI membership and stayed a total of 4 nights. While the address says Sequim, you are actually about 11 miles south of the town. Our only major complaint was the lack of a sewer hookup, with no laundry facility available. There were sewer hookups in about 30 sites, which seems to be where they put most people coming in on a discounted rate, but we were told not to connect because of issues with the county, which we found out had been the standard spiel for 3 years. Their website does say to arrive with empty tanks, but does not provide notification that you may be in a site where sewer connection is not allowed. Verizon cell service is spotty at best. We camped at Diamond Point RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - La Conner, La Conner, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

As we are TT members, the cost to us is free. We stayed for a little over 2 weeks. We were able to get one of the sites for which we could get a sat signal but no sewer connection. Park very wooded and not easily navigated, but it was quiet for the most part. The store was convenient as was the lodge area down by the water. Would bicycle down in order to get a strong enough Verizon signal to text and make phone calls. Easy access to the town of LaConner and a short drive to both Anacortes and Mount Vernon. Love the Skagit valley. A pool would be nice but overall a very nice TT park. We camped at Thousand Trails - La Conner in a Motorhome.
