Corral RV Park, Dalhart, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Entry into the park was very easy. Staff are nice Most RVers are full time residents. This park is very close to grain silos with a weird smell depending on direction of the wind. Lanes within the park are wide and give easy access to big rigs. Best sites are 3-17. Very wide and very long for easy pull thru. Sites are small gravel which is easy to walk on and very clean. There are big Trees for nice summer shade. This is the Texas panhandle so there is no grass. Utilities work well. AT&T Cell service is excellent. Verizon Broadband is excellent. Park WIFI is good but your site fee includes only one device. Price to add more devices is $1.00 per device per day. And well worth it!! There is NO Cable TV but satellite reception is excellent. No Dog park but with size of the sites #3-#17, lots of room to walk the dogs. No Pool. Nice play area for kids. No Bugs. There is some road and train noise but we slept with our windows open and were not bothered. This is a nice place to stop for one or two nights. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Foot of the Rockies RV & Storage, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Entry into the park was Staff were wonderful. No idea what the fellow RVers are like. Seems to be about 95% permanent rigs. And in 3 days we rarely saw another person. Views are awesome - mountains to the West and the Valley to the East. Lanes within the park are paved and easy to navigate with a big rig. Sites on the upper level (ours B13) and very very wide covered in gravel. Plenty long enough for our 43 ft rig and parked our F350 next to the rig. No trees or landscaping on this upper level. Site includes good utilities. They say there is WIFI here but we were never able to connect to the Internet. No Cable TV but Satellite worked fine. No Dog park, no pool and no play area for kids. No bugs. Being on top of a hill, it did get windy one day. Not sure if we will return to this park. This park is old and not well maintained. The permanent resident sites are very messy for the most part. We camped at Foot of the Rockies RV & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Park is big rig friendly/ level and shaded sites in the north section/ good WIFI/restaurant onsite/ easy in easy out. Good Verizon. Good cable tv plus satellite access. Big trees for summer shade. Sites are close to each other, long enough for rig and toad. Park could use a lot more gravel. Sites were very muddy with the rain. Gravel with grass on each side. Small fenced dog run at very back of north section. Good utilities. No pool. Would return in order to do some site seeing. Deer Park Campground, Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This park would have gotten a higher rating if the lanes and sites had not been so muddy with the rain. We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Entry into the park was easy. Staff were very nice. Winter has hit WY early and we are here at the end of Sept with a lot of rain. This is a large grassy park with lots of big trees. Very pretty. Only problem is that it has been a long time since new gravel was put down so with rain, our site and the areas around us were big puddles and mud. Lanes within the park are easy to navigate a big rig. Sites are long with big grass area on both sides. Site includes a picnic table. Utilities worked well. AT&T Cell worked well. Verizon Broadband worked well. Cable TV was very nice. No problem using the Satellite. Deer and wild turkeys roam all over. There is no fenced dog park. So walking the dogs with deer and turkey poop all over - especially in the rain - was a challenge. Looked like a nice small pool area. Would like to return to this RV park for a much longer stay and earlier in the summer next time. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Greybull KOA, Greybull, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Entry into the park was easy. Park is located at the end of a short residential street. Park is very quiet. Staff were wonderful. We are here at the end of Sept so park is very empty. Lanes within the park are wide. We had a premium site which is long and paved with a concrete patio, patio furniture, inground fire pit and grill. Some sites also have nice double swings. Each site has tall trees on each side for nice shade. Wide areas on each side of the site are covered with wood chips. Nice and clean. Utilities are well positioned and in good working order. AT&T Cell and Verizon Broadband both work well. WIFI seems to be good (keep in mind park is empty) You can choose high speed Internet for an additional daily charge. 60 cable channels. Plus satellite works well. There is a really nice fenced in dog park. Propane in sold in the park. There is a pool but it is closed for the winter. There is a really nice child's playground. We experienced no bugs. We would definitely return to this park. We camped at Greybull KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Site includes a picnic table. Utilities work well AT&T Cell is good. WIFI is good. Verizon Broadband is good No Cable TV Satellite works well. Large fenced grassy Dog park is very nice. No Pool. Tips for other Campers:

One hour drive to East Entrance of Yellowstone. MUST SEE: Cody Museum - actually 5 museums under one roof. Ticket is good for two days which means you don't have to rush through each museum. The museum also hosts a dinner show. It was Top Notch. Great food and wonderful entertainment. This was not the Yee hah we normally see with western entertainers! We cannot recommend them enough.

Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground, Lander, Wyoming

Overall Rating:

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Entry sign off the main road is small so you'll want to keep an eye out for it. Drive up the hill and park to go in the office . Staff are very nice. and the other RVer's are great too. This park sits up on top of a hill with awesome mountain views. Lanes within the park are wide enough and gravel. We are in site 1 which is 70 ft long. and on the end. Sites are gravel with grass on the sides, a picnic table and inground fire pit. There are some nice size trees too. Utilities are well placed and work well. Park WIFI is very good. AT&T Cell works well. Verizon Broadband works well. There is no Cable TV. Satellite works well. Propane is sold in park. There is no Dog park nor pool. We have not seen any bugs. There is no restaurant or cafe in the park. Can't wait to return to this great RV park for a much longer stay next time. Teton Valley RV Park, Victor, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Entry into the park was very easy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Victor sits in a valley with amazing views of the mountains all around. Lanes within the park are gravel and easy to navigate. Sites are nice and long and level gravel. The park has a major construction program going on, building very high end cabins. In 2017, the short term RV's set up at front of park with large mature trees on each side which gives nice shade and beauty. An entire new area behind the new cabins is being built for RV's, we are told. That will be gravel lanes, gravel sites and NO trees. Grass between each site in the existing part of the park. Site includes a picnic table and fire pit. Utilities are well placed and work well. AT&T Cell is weak - that's not the parks responsibility. Verizon Broadband is strong. Satellite works well. WIFI is the only negative as it is almost non-existent. No Propane sold in park. There is a fairly large grass fenced in dog park. Pool is small. A Nice play area for kids. Bugs - a few flies but not a bother. We really enjoyed this park and will definitely return for a much longer stay next time. We camped at Teton Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Driggs is a larger town 8 miles north of Victor with a big grocery store. Great BBQ in Victor and the market in town looks small but it is exceptionally well stocked. This is a great place to stay in order to see the Teton National Park and Jackson with the Jackson Hole Ski Village. Be sure to take the gondola to the top of the mountain for amazing views.

Yellowstone Park / West Entrance KOA, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $87.00
Overall Rating:

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with an F350. Entry into the park was well marked and easy. The staff were wonderful and so were the RV'ers. Everyone sits out at night and welcomes visiting. Lanes are narrow but length of the sites made it easy to pull in and pull out. Lanes are gravel. Sites are gravel. We have a Deluxe 50 amp Full Hookup Pull-thru. And these sites are like 90 ft long and very wide with tall mature trees for shade. Site are very spacious and include a nice patio with glider swing and fire pit. Park has a restaurant that serves grilled to order steaks, chicken, trout, etc. for dinner and pancakes for breakfast. After a full day in Yellowstone, it was a real treat to come back and get dinner right away. And a coffee hut in the mornings. Also a huge selection of home made fudge in the store. Utilities are well placed and work well. WiFI in the middle of the week day when the park is empty, works well. Otherwise WIFI is marginal, IF you can get out to the web. AT&T Cell service is one to two bars in this area. Verizon Broadband is good. Cable TV reception is good - only 12 channels.Satellite reception is good. WiFi is pitiful - our only complaint. Two small fenced Dog parks Really nice indoor heated Pool & Spa. Nice play area for kids and no Bugs. Can't wait to return to this great RV park for a much longer stay next time. We camped at Yellowstone Park / West Entrance KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Bear Canyon Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

On top of a hill outside of Bozeman Montana. Mostly pull-through sites with awesome views of the surrounding mountains. Nice playground for kids and a heated swimming pool. Some long term residents in back in sites around the perimeter of the park, but plenty of pull-through sites for shorter stays. No cable. Very close to downtown Bozeman and lots of great hiking trails. Our site had a nice grass space with a picnic table and wonderful views. No bugs. Wish we could have stayed longer. I would have rated this park higher if only they had good WIFI. Even at 6:00 AM we could not get any connection to the Web. At $45 per night, other parks in Montana offer excellent WiFi. We pull a 43' fifth wheel with an extra long F350 truck. Entry into park is very easy. Staff is nice. Lanes are wide. Park is surrounded by lovely tall trees. Sites are gravel surrounded by grass. Some sights have a tall tree. Utilities are placed well and work well. No Cable TV. Satellite reception is good. Propane is sold in the park. WiFi is pitiful. AT&T Cell service good. Dick's RV Park, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

Passage under a railroad bridge, makes you think "holy cow, I'm lost," but then it immediately opens up at the entrance. This park, while not fancy, is adequate in all respects for a transient stay. The sites were level, roomy, and with conveniently located hookups. Staff are friendly. Lanes are gravel. Sites are gravel. Utilities work well. No Cable TV Satellite set up is easy. Many of the rigs are owned by folks who live here long term and work in the area so once they get home around 6:00 PM WiFi gets very slow. AT&T Cell service is good. Verizon Broadband is good: There is a fenced Dog park in the very back corner next to the hiway. No Pool. No Play area for kids. No Bugs. We camped at Dick's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
