Twin Buttes RV Park, Douglas, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Twin Buttes is a basic desert camp-ground that is an excellent place to stay while visiting the many sights in the area. The park host is a very friendly and accommodating woman who will see that you get settled in your site, have what you need, and can tell you about the many great places to visit in the area. There are a few long-term residents but the park is very neat and tidy. As others have stated the social hour is friendly and a great way to relax after travelling or sight-seeing all day. My site was plenty long enough for my 40' fifth-wheel and truck. We camped at Twin Buttes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The area has a lot of historical places to see. Nearby Bisbee is a fun little town to visit. There great restaurants and an old copper mine and related museums to visit. Douglas is also fun to visit. The Gadsden Hotel has an excellent restaurant.

Sportsman's Club Campground, Joshua Tree, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing fancy, just a sand lot with hook-ups. 30 amp service only, low water pressure. There is WiFi but it is very weak. This park is not marked very well and many people miss the entrance and end up in the community center parking lot. The manager told me that they aren't really running an RV park, that it's mostly used for shows and special events. Our's was the only RV there. We camped at Sportsman's Club Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Three Forks Market & RV Park, Three Forks, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great overnight stop, although, if you have business to do it wouldn't be bad for a few more days. The park is very well kept and very convenient since all 9 sites are pull through. Great water pressure, 76 psi. So don't forget your pressure regulator. Check-in is at the grocery store but don't pull into the store's parking lot. It's too small. Park on the side road between the RV park and the fairgrounds. Sites are fairly level, too. I have no problem coming back when I pass this way again. We camped at Three Forks Market & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Mitchell Campground, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Wow, I didn't expect a park this nice when I booked a site at a municipal park. This is a great place, right on the lake. I was in site #1 which was a 50 amp site, paved and plenty long enough for my 40 foot 5th wheel without unhooking. Good water pressure and free WiFi. Staff were friendly. There are lots of trees, too many for satellite. There are also nice hiking trails. We were only here for one night passing through but now I need to find an excuse to come back and stay longer. We camped at Lake Mitchell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Perry Lodging & Conference Center, Port Clinton, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Small, very well kept park. Sites are very long, paved and very wide. Grass is good with young trees. Water pressure is good. You need to check in at the conference center which is a large building Northeast of the RV park. Be advised that pets are allowed in the RV park only, nowhere else on the post. If your dog needs a long walk you will make a lot of circles in the park. We camped at Camp Perry Lodging & Conference Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a few days and enjoyed the campground. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The sites are a bit snug but we didnt mind because the weather was bad. The water pressure is good and the scenery is very good. We will be back in a few days. We camped at Crowsnest Pass Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Thousand Trails Preserve / Wilmington, Wilmington, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This could easily become one of our favorite parks but we don't come to Ohio often. When we do, this is where we will stay. The park is well kept and full of large mature trees. There is only 30 amp electrical service but it wasn't a problem since the weather was cool. We are an older couple and appreciate the quiet atmosphere. There are things for kids to do, including a playground, miniature golf, a catch and release pond, and a canoeing pond.
Verizon coverage is good and, if you pick a site carefully, your satellite TV will work well, too. We camped at Thousand Trails Preserve / Wilmington in a Fifth Wheel.

Diamond Caverns RV Resort and Golf, Park City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very quiet park with lots of hills and paths to walk. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We were in the A row which backs up to the trees. Some sites are long enough for a very long rig, even our 40' fifth wheel and truck parked in line. Good but pricey WiFi at the sites. Good Verizon service. The grounds are beautifully kept. We camped at Diamond Caverns RV Resort and Golf in a Fifth Wheel.

Eagle Crest Golf & RV Resort, Alma, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very quiet park behind the golf course that is not easy to find. We were visiting family that live on the golf course so it was very convenient. Water pressure is good, 50 amp hook-up works fine and the grounds are well kept as you might expect at a golf course. I don't think that this park gets much use and we were the only RV there. It is mainly for golfers but they seemed happy to have us. We will certainly be back when we are in the area. We have a 40 foot 5th wheel. We camped at Eagle Crest Golf & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first time at this Thousand Trails park and we love it. The sites are spacious and arranged well. This is one of the smaller parks and so it is quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good walking trails around the park and always deer to see. We camped at Colorado River Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Seaside Resort, Thousand Trails , Seaside, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorite parks in the Thousand Trails system and we come here a few times each year. The staff is friendly and helpful. The park is divided into two parts. The north side has 50 amp sites while the south side has 30 amp sites. I believe all sites have sewer but WiFi is only at the clubhouses. Verizon works well and satellite depends on your site. Some sites are close but some have much more room. As always, at Thousand Trails preserves, you choose the site you like and let them know where you parked. We camped at Seaside Resort, Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Rovers RV Park (formerly Chinook RV Park), Waldport, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We spent a week at this park a year ago and enjoyed the experience so much that we came back this year for a month. We will not return. We have always flown the US flag at the rear of our 5th wheel but at this park, this year, the owner became very angry and told us that we could take the flag down or he would throw us out. He told us that he was concerned about what people would think if they saw the US flag on an RV in his park. This came a few hours after we paid $500 for the month. No refund, of course. Last year it was no problem. Same flag, same flagpole, same attachment to the 5th wheel. Bad experience! The rate reflects a monthly rate. We camped at Rovers RV Park (formerly Chinook RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Wasatch View Estates and RV Park, Ogden, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This really is a mobile home park, not an RV park. With that in mind, you must not expect too much but at $15 it is an excellent value. Service is good, the manager guided us to the site and made sure we knew where everything was. Water pressure is high, so don't forget your regulator.

We had a long pull-through site, good for our 40 foot 5th wheel. If you are an overnighter you will be glad to know that the park is handy to the freeway. We will certainly stay here again. We camped at Wasatch View Estates and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Air Capital RV Park, Wichita, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This is a relatively new park with concrete pads set close together. Water pressure is very good, WiFi is poor. I did not use the cable TV. The manager asked me if I would like a pull-through site. She didn't tell me that it costs an extra $10. Grass strips that separate the sites are very narrow and there are no picnic tables or fire rings. Too much money for what you get.
