Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The views here are amazing!!!! Our site is a full hookup with fire pit and picnic table. Interior roads are asphalt with some tight turns but easily manageable. No problems with water pressure or electrical issues. Most sites have small trees to provide a little shade. Registration is fast and friendly only if you have one of the guys help you out, the girl seemed to be put off by us being there (could have just been having a bad day). The campground store didn't have much in the way of supplies except for souvenirs. Restrooms and showers were clean and spotless. There's a indoor pool for campers to use. We personally didn't use it but many of our neighbours did. We also took time to visit Monument Valley National Park. The cost was $20.00 for up to 4 people. It is a must to do while here. We opted out from paying for a tour and decided to take our truck through ourselves. It was rather rugged but a must to see. They also have gift shops, restaurant which only serve alcohol free drinks.Views there were spectacular! We've have seen a lot in our travels and this by far was a sight to see and experience. Pictures do not do it justice. We spent two days here and although it was enough time to view all we wanted to see we would definitely recommend this as a spot to stop. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Monument RV Resort, Fruita, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in was fast and friendly. Interior road are wide and asphalt while the site are gravel. The sites in the middle of the park are pull thrus and the outer edges are back-ins. Hookups are well placed in the middle of the site. Sites in the middle pull thrus pull in opposite of the next site making your trailer doors to face one another. Personally I like a bit of privacy so next time here I would choose the backin. Laundry facilities have a number of washer and dryers, washes are $1.50 per load, dryers 0.50 for 20 minutes. Restrooms and showers are neat and clean. And free. There is also a small pool and hot tub for guest to enjoy. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Overall a very nice state park. Plenty of trails for hiking and biking. Sites are concrete pads and level. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Firewood can be purchased at the office for $5.00. Sewer connection is at the back of site so a long hose is required. Lots of over the air channels,we lost count after 43. Wifi signal is only strong near the check-in office or the restrooms throughout the park. The other RVers in this loop were very quiet, no barking dogs. There is also a laundromat with vending machines with ice cream and other snacks. We camped at Cherry Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in was quick and friendly. Our assigned site (#62) was in the middle of the park where wifi was nonexistent. We went back to the office and were given site 66 near the back of the park where the wifi was excellent. The campground roads are gravel and easy to navigate. Site consists of a gravel pad and grass for the sitting area with picnic table. Amenities include a small inground pool, playground and laundry facilities. There is also an area for dog walking at the front of the park along the road. The overnight spots are in the centre of the campground while the long term campers are on the outer edge. The only negative was that there was a lot of dogs barking during the day but by evening seemed to have quieted down. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Al's Oasis Campground, Oacoma, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Office was closed upon arrival but self check-in was easy. Our site was a level gravel pad with grass in the sitting area. Hook-ups were well placed in the middle of the site. Being next to I90 road noise can be heard but not annoying. Showers and restroom were neat and clean except for the moldy shower curtains that separate the changing area from the shower. Interior roads are gravel and easy to navigate. There is a food store and gift shop and restaurant within walking distance. If passing through this area again we would definitely stop here. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lilac Resort, Ste. Anne, Manitoba

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This park makes the claim that it is a tropical resort, with its landscaping it kind of feels that way. This place has everything, weekend entertainment, live bands, pool games etc. We didn't use the washrooms or laundromat but they appeared a little dated but clean. No issues with power or water but the sewer hookup is at the back of the site so a long hose is needed. There is over 330 sites here with 60 being overnight spots. Even with this park being along the Trans-Canada Highway our site was for enough back that noise was not an issue. The above price includes 2 wristbands which must be worn the use the park amenities. Additional wristbands can be purchased for $ 18.00 apiece per day which can get expensive for families with children. We camped at Lilac Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Moose Mountain Provincial Park, Kenosee Lake, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 5 years ago but don't remember the beach in such a mess. The beach is covered in goose droppings which they just rake into the sand GROSS. The water is green with algae blooms although not a fault of the park. As with all Saskatchewan Provincial Park there is free firewood available. We camped at Moose Mountain Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice spacious site surrounded by trees. There are 7 back in sites situated lakefront. The park had 2 beaches but are unable to use because of the mess left behind by the birds. No wifi and cellphone reception is hit and miss. The washrooms and showers are clean but the plastic curtains in the men's shower are moody and need to be changed. Cypress Hills InterProvincial Park Centre Block (Terrace Campground), Maple Creek, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the Terrace campground that is a mix of back in and pull thrus sites. Almost every site is uneven, which requires levelling blocks. Although there is no over the air channels there is excellent cell phone reception. There is also wifi available at the visitor centre. You could spend a week here and the kids would be busy everyday. We camped at Cypress Hills InterProvincial Park Centre Block (Terrace Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has 2 sections, 15 amp service in the trees,30 amp sites are in the more open area of the campground. It is down in a valley along the Oldman River so there is no cell reception or wifi. No reservations are taken so it is first come first serve. The bathroom and shower building are brand new and the showers are free of charge. The park is about 4kms north of hwy3. Fort Steele Resort and RV Park, Fort Steele, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Almost all sites are pull thrus which required minor levelling. Sites could use some cleanup from the pine cones scattered everywhere. There is a 24 hour laundromat an a gas station on site. The store is more for over priced souvenirs than groceries. Also on site is a pavilion to rent for weddings, family reunions etc. When passing through the area again we will look for somewhere else to stay. We camped at Fort Steele Resort and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Scottie's RV Park and Campground, Creston, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Good for an overnight stay as there is not much to do here,no pool,no playground for the kids, just a place to sit back and relax. Washrooms and showers are very clean. Check in was fast and easy as we had reservations. This campground is associated with the mobile home park next door,a few residents were driving through. There are several long term trailers but for the most part they seem to be looked after. We camped at Scottie's RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Kootenay River RV Park (Formerly Kootenay River RV Kampground), Castlegar, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This resort was very quiet as it is an adult only resort, the owners greeted us by name as we arrived and guided us into our site. Each site is manicured and watered daily. They also have planted beautiful flowers and young trees everywhere which adds to the beauty of this resort. The bathrooms and showers are new with beautiful upgrades, the nicest we have ever encountered at a resort. Some spots have river views but really any spot in the park is beautul. The owners really take pride in their park and it is very obvious right as you drive in. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who drives through Castlegar. We will definitely return! Riviera RV Park and Campground, Grand Forks, British Columbia

Overall Rating:

Very friendly hostess who found us a spot along the river after having to leave our last stop abruptly. The campground is situated along highway 3 so there is constant traffic noise. Our site is covered with 6" of sand that was left by the spring flooding. Many long term residents who keep their sites clean. Good for a overnight stop. Wifi is available near the office.
