Thief River Falls Tourist Park, Thief River Falls, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here late Sept. and the camp host was already gone. There was only a check in drop box but no one here to assist. They did send us an email a day or two before we arrived confirming our spot. Be sure you have all your information with you. Campground was not busy at all. Spaces are easy to access you park right on grass. Sites were pretty even. Our site was 117 which was facing city street. At times traffic was loud but not extreme. They do have sites facing the river which would be quieter but those sites are electric only. Our site had cable and electric. Less than a minute walk to the river which has lovely walk way. Park is near by shopping, gas and a wonderful restaurant pub just across the street. This is a great overnight stop for a great price. Lucky we ran into another camper who gave us the wifi password , Wifi wasn't great but did work ok at times. We camped at Thief River Falls Tourist Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Anicinabe RV Park & Campground, Kenora, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We were assigned a motor home site overlooking the lake and beach. The site was long enough that we were able to pull in and still have enough room to unhook, keeping the hookups on the correct side of the trailer. The interior roads are gravel as well as the perfectly level sites,no leveling was required. There is a large green space in front of the motor home sites that have a pavilion and a group kitchen that are rented out for weddings etc. so if there is a large group it may get loud. We did not use the restrooms or showers so can't comment on them. We liked this place so much that we already booked for next summer. We camped at Anicinabe RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Winnipeg Beach Provincial Park, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We were in the Water Tower section of the campground which is the closest the the beach. It is less than a 3 minute walk. Site was level side to side but not front to back. Interior roads are asphalt while the sites have gravel and grass. Showers ($1.00 for 3 minutes)and restrooms are close by as well as the wifi hotspot. The campground is right next to the town and offers a variety of restaurants, gift shops and grocery stores. During the summer months there are bands playing in the bandstand on the beach in the evening. We camped at Winnipeg Beach Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Whiteshell Provincial Park, Falcon Lake Beach Campground, Falcon Lake, Manitoba

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

MAKE RESERVATIONS!! This campground is very busy especially on weekends probably because it is located just off the Trans-Canada Highway. We seen many rvers turned away because there were no sites available. Our site was electric only but there are full hookup sites available. If we had a choice we would have picked a different site because of low hanging branches and the closeness of our neighbor, also the site was right next to the entrance so there was a constant flow of traffic entering and leaving the campground. We found the beach to be spectacular, very clean and raked every night after everyone has left. There is also a beach for your four legged companions next to the main beach. Although we don't play there is a very nice golf course within the town of Falcon Lake. The town also has a gas station, food store, gift shop and a few restaurants. We booked our site two days before arrival so we got the only site available in the park. Our overall rating of 5 is based solely on our site, had we had a different one the score may have been higher. We camped at Whiteshell Provincial Park, Falcon Lake Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Woods Park & Campground, Beausejour, Manitoba

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We reserved a site backing on the river and that is exactly what we got. We could hear the river but could not see it,next time we will ask for a site with a view of the water. We were here on Canada Day long weekend so it was very busy. There were parties going on everywhere but they were not too loud as to be disturbing, in fact we did not even hear anything the first night. The entrance road to the campground is gravel and very wide but once you get into the camping area the roads get narrow and the trees could use a trimming. Trees could pose a problem when trying to back into some sites with a big rig. There appears to be a newer section to the park that is out in the open with no trees to contend with. This newer section has a mix of seasonal, serviced and unserviced sites. The campground sits along the banks of the Brokenhead River which is great for tubing, it also has 2 small beaches for the kids. There is a large well manicured field for playing soccer, baseball,or any other games. The restrooms and showers are pretty rundown and dirty, we took a look inside, closed the door and decided to use the shower in our trailer. Even with a few negative points we definitely will come back! We camped at Great Woods Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here on a Friday afternoon without reservations and they were able to accommodate us. This is the only decent park anywhere near Fargo. The park was full to capacity and yet the wifi was good. The park is connected to the Day's Inn next door, all hotel amenities are available to park guests. River View RV Park, Fort Pierre, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is not the same campground as it was a year ago. 36 new rv sites have been added downhill from the original sites. 23 tent sites are going in right now, some will have electrical service. This part of the park is so new that the asphalt roads and pads will be done next week. There is also a brand new office/restrooms/showers/laundry building with several vending machines. Several sites will even have 100 amp service as well as the standard 30 & 50 amp service. Small trees have been planted and artificial turf will be installed between the sites. A doggy park, playground, sand volleyball and basketball hoops are also in the works. The premium sites cost a little more but the views are spectacular. The owners are very friendly and so proud of their expansion efforts we were given a personal tour of the park and told of their future plans. It will be interesting to return here in a few years to see how it progressed. We didn't give this park higher marks only because it wasn't finished, had it been,it would rate a 10. We camped at River View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beaver Lake Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was fast and friendly, they even knew my name when I walked in. If you prefer a sunny site ask for sites L thru P. Hookups where conveniently located. Showers were rather small but clean, the shower in my 5th wheel is larger. Our site was larger than most or the others but privacy was not great as the campground road circled our site. When we return we will definitely stay here again. We camped at Beaver Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort, Evansville, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

I booked an overnight stay 6 months ago for a river side site but upon arrival there was none left,so I was given a dusty site next to the road (what a disappointment). Entire campground is gravel and each site has a 10x12 patch of artificial turf for the picnic table. There is a nice patio with gas grills and play structure outside the office building. Although we didn't use the restrooms or any of the other facilities they did appear to be clean. Next time we are near Casper we might look somewhere else. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The Travel Camp, Green River, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

First of all don't be fooled by the website photos. They are from the long term campers section of the park. That area is down in a valley out of the wicked wind and noise from the freeway. Overnighters are up on a hill about 500 feet from I-80,needless to say, constant traffic noise. 15 of the 34 sites are small maybe good enough for tenters or pop up trailers. I guess at one time the utilities were upgraded but when the lines were run through the sites the asphalt pads were never repaired properly, just filled in with gravel. Outside your door is nothing but gravel and weeds in between sites. The wifi and cable channels are good as are the newer, modern restrooms and showers. The campground was quite full only because of an Airstream caravan passing through,if it wasn't for them there was only 2 others here. Next time we pass through we probably would stay again as we know what to expect. We camped at The Travel Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is busy so reservations are recommended. Previous reviews complained about interior road conditions but we didn't experience anything like that. Our site was long enough and level that we didn't have to disconnect even though we did. Each site has a picnic table and grass area,no patio or fire pit, although there is a community fire pit for campers to use. Pool and hot tub are quite busy during the heat of the day,but still enjoyable with plenty of seating available. Wifi service for the most part was fast and cable channels were plentiful. Although we are not a KOA fan and the fact that a campground worker made a derogatory comment about us being Canadian,we definitely would return to this park. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Clark Park, Battle Mountain, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Hardly a destination park as there is not much to do in Battle Mountain but a great stop for a day or two. Asphalt roads, gravel sites with a picnic table and no patio or fire pit. Good wifi and cable. Unisex restrooms and showers are large and clean, showers are $1.50 for 3 minutes. 3/4 of the campground is occupied by monthly campers. We camped at Clark Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tahoe Valley Campground, South Lake Tahoe, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

One of our favourite stops on this trip,it reminds us of a state park with all the tall pine trees. Our original site was 176 but with all the trees there was no way we could open our slides. Went back to the office and they gladly switched us to a pull thru site. If you love the sun as much as we do then site 102 is the one for you. Hookups are conveniently placed towards the back of the site. Restrooms and showers are neat and clean with plenty of hot water. Interior roads are asphalt and the sites are sand. Each site has a picnic table and a charcoal grill. Good fast wifi signal was just upgraded this week although it was out for a bit as some of the bugs were ironed out. The campground store has limited supplies but within a five minute walk there is plenty of shopping. We camped at Tahoe Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

San Francisco RV Resort, Pacifica, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $110.00
Overall Rating:

Way overpriced for an asphalt parking lot,but there is nothing else in this area. Pull thru sites are very close with your doors facing one another, although there are several sites that have a grass "dividers". If those sites a available, grab them! Free wif is available only next to the office or in the laundry room. You can pay around $5.00 a day to receive wifi at your site but at these prices it should be included with your stay. Sites along the cliff side are now closed due to erosion. Laundry fees are $2.50 per wash and $0.25 for 12 minuets or dry time. There is a nice pool and hot tub for guest use. If you arrive after 5pm there is a self check in with all the info you will need, just remember to register the next morning. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Malibu Beach RV Park, Malibu, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $110.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said it's the only place to stay in Malibu. We stayed 3 nights,2 were in their "low" season so we were charged $110.00 per night & $120.00 for the third. Good little store for supplies and souvenirs with good prices. Cost of doing your laundry is a different story,$3.00 per wash and 1.50 per dryer load. We opted for a mountain view back in site that just fit our fifth wheel and truck. There was only enough room left over for the picnic table and a couple of chairs. Our site still had a view of the ocean without paying for it. When exiting the park after 1 pm on the main road you must make a right turn on to Pacific Coast Highway,go about a 1/4 mile anmake a u-turn through a gas station to head towards L.A. The other option is through their upper level to a street that will take you to a set of traffic lights to make a left turn. Good selection of cable channels but wifi is slow (which is normal for campgrounds). We camped at Malibu Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
