Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn), Terlingua, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park conveniently located to go into Big Bend National Park. Many trees, although small but cast an adequate amount of shade. Quiet park with enough amenities around it so you don't feel lost in the desert! They have a decent restaurant and store, also gas station and laundromat. The sites are wide enough so you don't feel cramped. We camped here in February so it wasn't crowded at all. There are motorbikes available to rent, a horse stable for riding, and private tours available also. We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Fifth Wheel.

Little Thicket RV Resort, La Marque, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

My advice is to ignore the previous comments as they are several years old. Obviously things have changed drastically! This park is home for oil workers in the area and is absolutely awful. The sites were smaller than advertised (we had difficulty fitting a 30ft RV in the space), no amenities, and quite a lot of garbage and litter. It also was also very muddy even though it had not rained for several days. We didn't even stay. It was bad enough that we decided to go to a truck stop instead of staying even one night. We camped at Little Thicket RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Frenchman's Wilderness Campground, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here in January on our way through Louisiana. We wanted to visit Vermillionville in Lafayette but didn't want to stay in town. This was a great choice. Really nice, quiet, large park. Lots of room between sites, friendly staff. Really enjoyed our week here and would definitely go back. We camped at Frenchman's Wilderness Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
