Wapiti RV Park, Lincoln City, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a quiet rural area just east of Taft, south of Lincoln City proper and away from the beach. I would call it a campground rather than a park or resort. The office is out of the way and no RVs are allowed on the office access road (cars okay), but it was open until 9pm. Check in is easy once you get there. RV parking is side by side on gravel, around the edges of the access road and backing up to a huge grassy area.

Water and electric hookups only, with a dump station on the exit driveway. There are picnic tables and it looks like there were fire rings that have been removed. Many large, old trees are scattered around, though the area is mostly sunny and open. Restrooms are very old, but very clean, the women's shower was tiled and good sized, don't know about pressure or temperature as we didn't use. There are meeting spaces for groups, but no other attractions. Very quiet and sunnier and warmer than the coast. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Wapiti RV Park in a Motorhome.

Country Hills RV Park, Beaumont, California

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This seems to be a primarily residential park on a hillside. There is a gate with $20 deposit for the key (bring cash if you want your money back when you leave, they refund checks and plastic by mailing a check back to you). The lower entry part is a flatter open area with half taken up with storage RVs . Our gravel site was a little tight to get in and out of and didn't have a picnic table on the concrete patio as advertised, possibly because we were only staying one night. WiFi was excellent, the best in any park we've stayed in. The staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is semi-rural with newer housing developments close by. It was quiet. Laundry looked okay, we didn't use it, $1.50 each for wash and dry. Pool/spa and clubhouse were small but looked okay. Bathrooms were ancient and uphill from our site. Showers were coin-op and two of four in the ladies' were out of order, and I would not have used. Showering before entering pool area would be awkward. We would not stay here again. We camped at Country Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.
