Turner Inn & RV Park, Mountainair, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was friendly efficient. This is a campground to use as a base to visit the local Nation Monument. Located right off the road, but little to no road noise. What we did experience was the Railroad noise. There were times 4 to 5 long trains would pass through late at night. So if you're a lite sleeper be prepared. But, the WiFI was fast and always up. Restrooms were a little outdated but clean. We found this was a great location to explore the local ruins and area. We camped at Turner Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Boot Hill RV Resort, Alamogordo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We decided to stay a week to have some repairs (Alamo RV & Truck Ctr) done and to scout the local area. Restrooms were clean as well as the entire campground. Shows pride of ownership. The campground is well laid out and easy to maneuver around and into your space. Pull thru sites were about 90 feet long and can handle most RV's. Swear and water was well planned out with no lines crossing one another. A little noise from the road but nothing that really disturbed my sleep. We will camp here again on our way through. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times in the past and have always enjoyed our visits. The value rating is for the Festival fee we were charged for arriving on the last day of the Balloon Festival (Oct. 15, 2018). We didn't attend the Festival but were charged the extra $39.00 per night for the rest of the 4 nights we spent at the campground. We were told that the extra fee was to pay for extra help for services and cleanup for the caravans during the festival. Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

At the edge of town, but beautiful night skies. Fairly close to many activities and Old Town. We went to Prairie Dog Glass where you can learn glass blowing and purchase beautiful glassware. Cacao Santa Fe is a chocolate lovers paradise. Try the sipping bar for a sip of almost heaven hot chocolate and then see chocolate made in their kitchen. Don't miss the variety of foods and veggies at the Santa Fe Market. We have seen most of the museums over the years so choose what interests you.

Rusty's RV Ranch, Rodeo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Excellent layout of sites. With each RV facing in the opposite directions, which gives you the feeling of not being crowded. Well planned layout for water/power/sewer hookups. As stated in another review the sites are gravel and dirt with a patio and fire pit. Beautiful scenery surrounds you with wildlife to boot. Showers and laundry were clean and kept up to date. The park is a Dark park, which means there are astronomers here studying the skies. So, you will be asked to keep your windows shades down and outside lights off. But, that gives you a better chance to see the beautiful night skies of Southern New Mexico. We camped at Rusty's RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Pie Town RV Park, Pie Town, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Great little campground owned and operated by the family who lives on site. Showers were clean and in good shape. Sites are a little uneven. Wood blocks were provided if needed. Very quiet at night even though you are about 100 yds from the road. Beautiful night sky due to no light pollution. We would stay here again on our way through this part of New Mexico. We camped at Pie Town RV Park in a Motorhome.

Burns RV Park, Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, family run park. The park has been laid out to make maximum use of space. A few sites are what I would consider close. The staff is very friendly and helpful and suggested a local restaurant for dinner. Overall, this was a very good place to stop when crossing Oregon west to east or back on route 20. Looks like they fill up early so it might be worth making reservations to be sure to have a spot. We camped here in a Motorhome. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shady Acres RV Park & Campground, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were long and narrow pull thru with dirt and a little gravel, but access was easy. WIFI worked occasionally, and the 50 amp power was good at our site # 33. The clerk who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The grounds appeared to receive the basic care. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome. Homestead RV Park, Kirtland, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed a week here. Gravel roads and pads. No, trees or grass, but then again we are in the Southwest where water is at a premium. Found pads to be level and power at pedestal good. Close to Farmington where we were visiting. Road noise is tolerable, in fact, most nights never heard any road noise. Staff was friendly and helpful in finding an electrical repair Tech to look at our coach. Will stay here again when we pass through this area. We camped at Homestead RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mustang Hollow Campground (formerly Lake Corpus Christi Mathis KOA), Mathis, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Great stop over. The staff was very friendly and informative about the local area. Roads were a little rustic as one person said, but the site was level. wide and spacious. We weren't packed in. Stopped by the restrooms and found everything clean and in good repair. Showers all worked. We would stay here again but spend more time here getting to know the area and get in some fishing. Mountain View RV Park, Bowie, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Warm welcome by the owners. Sites are gravel, wide and level. Power was good. WiFi was very good. There are train tracks running back behind the camp, but are far enough away, the trains didn't really bother us. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.
