Moss Landing KOA Express, Moss Landing, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We received fresh baked cookies as we registered. The lady at the desk had a big smile for me as I registered. Her husband backed us into our site and he had dog cookies for my dogs. I love being able to walk everywhere including a lovely dog beach and dog friendly restaurant. I wish the WIFi was better. Spot 45 is large. You can hear road noise in the park. Some spots are close to each other. We camped at Moss Landing KOA Express in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Dog beach is behind Phil's Fish Market. We saw whales frolicking there. The Whole Enchilada is wonderful. Whale watching cruises leave from the marina right next door. Also you can get fresh fish at the marina next door on Betina's Boat.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Tower Park, Lodi, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $99.00
Overall Rating:

The water park is under construction. It looks like it will be wonderful for families. We were in spot 3 in a newer section of the park close to the reservation department. Our spot was a large pull through site with concrete pad and patio area, fire pit and a BBQ. Initially we were in 257 - a big dust bowl no trees so no shade and very limited lawn area. We had 5 trailers total with toddlers and animals in the group. These spaces would not work for us. The reservation department was top knotch. They were able to move us to some great spots with a smile on their face even while they were so very busy. Spot 257 will be great because it is across from the new water park but, for now, not good. This was our second time to the park and we will be back. They give you a beautiful dog treat for each of your dogs at check in. When we were there the bar and grill did not have a liquor license but they said they should have it shortly. We had tacos for lunch. The food was wonderful. So good we ordered dinner and brought it back to our camp site. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Tower Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pelican Point RV Park, Half Moon Bay, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty basic park. Streets are narrow. Not easy to get into the spots. The people were so friendly and helpful. People we went with wanted to stay an extra day. Initially there were no vacancies. But it all worked out and they were able to stay. Thanks to the wonderful people in the office. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Gold Country Campground Resort, Pine Grove, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

They have done a large amount of work on the park. Very clean. Put put golf was fun. The store was not open. We were there in the off season. It would be nice to have the sites graveled. Maybe they are working toward that. I called the day before our stay to see if we could get in early. I received a call back in the AM and was told the spot is free head over early. Pretty darn accommodating. We are planning our next trip for late Spring! We camped at Gold Country Campground Resort in a Travel Trailer.

River Lodge Resort, Parker Dam, California

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We had 4 spots all together. Not one of he 4 of the spots had hook ups hat were working. Some spots like outer spot only had water that was working. The full timer who was located infrint of us had an extra trailer that was in our spot. Our truck stuck out further than it should have. The spots were wide enough. Park was not well kept. The best part was a couple of snowbirds that were there and tried to help the us. We went into the office on the 13th when we left to talk to someone in The office. The lady that was working could care less that we all had issues. She said "I am just a snowbird working for my spot. There is nothing I Can do to help you." We had made reservations for our trip back to stay at the park again. We did not return. The bad part is our reservations were non refundable. They could not pay us to go back to that park. Out of the 4 rigs we all give big thumbs down, the pictures are very deceiving. We camped at River Lodge Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Moss Landing KOA Express, Moss Landing, California

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was a breeze. Very friendly staff. Small park but the spots were plenty big enough to put our awning out and our slide. Location is great. You can walk to 3 super restaurants, fishing, whale watching and a little bit of shopping in Moss Landing. You could hear the otters playing in the Marina along with the fog horns. People were very friendly. It did not look like there were many full timers. Small but clean dog park, movies in the office to borrow. WIFI was spotty. We will be back. We camped at Moss Landing KOA Express in a Travel Trailer.

Pine Acres Resort, Upper Lake, California

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The lady in the office greeted all of us with a big smile. She went out to our site and directed my husband into the spot. We did not have a fire pit with us do she went and found one for us to use. Very private and quiet. The lake was beautiful. They had just put 800 lbs of trout in it before we arrived. Can not wait to go back. We camped at Pine Acres Resort in a Travel Trailer.
