Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Start with personnel, very unfriendly and at times, down right rude, which is odd for the Nashville area. Most local places have very friendly people. Property is very run down, streets have ruts so big its hard to believe that so many drivers speed down them. Very unsafe! While I was there instead of repairing the massive holes on the street they built a speed bump with sand at the end to slow down the speeders. Sites are not maintained very well, tables are in serious need of a paint job and grass areas at the site are half mud and grass. Bathrooms have been clean. Laundry room's change machine was out of service and staff acted like it was our problem not theirs. Dog run area was full of dog poop cause no one cleans up after their pets. They would be wise to add dog stations with disposal bags around the property. Pool is a little run down. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Destin West RV Resort, Fort Walton Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

I'll start with the pros. The staff members and management of this park are exceptional. Friendly, helpful, courteous and accommodating. The facility is located in a perfect location for the Emerald Isle. Close to Destin, Pensacola and Panama City Beach. Close to shopping and entertainment. Across from the Ramada Resort that owns the property and allowed us to use the facilities most of which were not opened due to the winter season. Now, why I didn't give it a 10. We are snowbirds that spend 4 months in Florida so we look for values. Currently they allowed us March monthly rates for 2017 but, will discontinue that for 2018. Spring breakers permit them to charge more per site and that's understandable. Weather is the other factor because, it is sometimes colder than we'd like it. March of this year we just had 30's at night with 50's during the day. February was warmer that that. All and all we loved the park and we would stay here again in a second but, only if they change back to monthly for March. We can not afford the 2000.00 a month rates. We camped at Destin West RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Harbor Walk in Destin for filled with shopping, dining and nightlife. Also one of the best spots to watch for dolphins entering the bay in the evening. Beaches not dog friendly but, some places like the Harbor Walk are.

Neapolitan Cove RV Resort, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here during peak season the entire month of March and loved it. The park has easy in and out sites for larger rigs. Great location on Tamiami Trail road into downtown Naples and local shopping. Lots of friendly snowbirds at the park with several activities during the month. The hosts are really friendly and lots of fun so don't miss the special events. We definitely want to be back next year so hopefully a site will be available when we can book later this year. We camped at Neapolitan Cove RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort, Titusville, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here the month of February. Great location to local attractions. Clean park and very secure. Not very dog friendly. Has a dog park, but residents dictate which aggressive dogs are allowed. My Golden Retriever was attacked by a local dog so we stopped using the park. Nothing handled to our satisfaction. Residents push it off as normal. Don't know if I would classify this resort as a campsite it's more of a retirement community with local residents. In a month met very few people. We would never purchase here. Situated between a couple of sanitary districts near the front. If the wind blows a certain direction the odor is a little strong blowing in. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Try to find sites deep into the resort. The traffic on Plantation near the front is as bad as any busy local street.

Carrabelle Beach RV Resort, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here the month and really enjoyed the park. The staff was incredible and friendly. The site was large and easy to access. The area is across the street from an awesome stretch of white sand beaches that are dog friendly. We will definitely be back to this park. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
