Port Huron KOA, Kimball, Michigan

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The entire camping experience was a nightmare for our entire group. My site was supposed to have cable, I asked when I booked the site, and even called back to confirm it did indeed have cable (it was the Tigers World Series game!), when we arrived it did not have cable. A very unpleasant man named T.J., informed us that we "can't have our cake and eat it too" when we complained about the lack of cable. What that means I don't even know. Our cooler was stolen during the night. 2 of the cabins we booked had broken heaters and 1 cabin had a broken smoke detector which chirped and went off all night. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this campground and the General Manager could not have been any less interested in our plight. Would not ever go back! A lot of teenagers partying everywhere, and I did not feel safe allowing my children to walk around. Rest rooms dirty and showers were disgusting! i could go on and on but I will stop here. We camped at Port Huron KOA in a Motorhome.

Silver Creek Luxury RV Resort, Mears, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here with four kids and we all loved it. It is very close to the dunes and Lake Michigan beaches. We would go four wheeling and swimming in Lake Michigan all day and then go back to the campground and relax in the giant hot tub and have a campfire. Very clean and family friendly. We camped at Silver Creek Luxury RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Double JJ Resort, Rothbury, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great time here. Lots for the kids to do, very family friendly. Loved the horseback riding and rodeo. A little on the pricey side, so you need to look for coupons or special deals to make it affordable for an entire family. Fantastic water slide that the kids loved. We camped at Double JJ Resort in a Motorhome.

Camp Gulf, Miramar Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We go here every year for Easter and we LOVE it! It is literally a park on the ocean. The water is beautiful and every part of the park is spotless! My kids (I have 4) love it and they sell ice cream cones for $1 in the office. We never want to leave and will continue to go for many years. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.

Port St Lucie RV Resort, Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2005 - $75.00

Very beautiful grounds. I agree that it is a retirement community, I had 5 kids with me and I did not feel my kids were welcomed by the other residents. It was a fabulous campground, and I would highly recommend it for people traveling with no children. We camped at Port St Lucie RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We loved it. It is everything you would expect from Disney, extremely clean, extremely friendly, and extremely fun! It is what all campgrounds should aspire to, large, private lots, fabulous service, great entertainment and lots to do! Will definitely go back, it is worth the extra money you pay to stay in Disney! We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.
