Thousand Trails Preserve / Wilmington, Wilmington, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

A nice Thousand Trails campground. Typically clean and reasonably maintained. Convenient to freeway, but not a lot of activity in the immediate area. Wilmington, OH is not much for a college town. Very pleasant, helpful staff. We camped at Thousand Trails Preserve / Wilmington in a Motorhome.

Berkshire Lake Campground, Galena, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

An older park that is showing its age--and lack of infrastructure investment. Entrance road asphalt is mostly a memory and laundry facilities were marginal. A mix of long term residents in a wide range of units, with occasional overnighters. A quiet, safe place except on weekends when the locals roll in for beverages around the bonfire while cheering the Buckeyes on. We stayed a month while visiting family in the area. We camped at Berkshire Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Cypress Morro Bay RV & MHP, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, well-maintained park with very friendly, helpful owners. Very tight sites for large rig; even window awnings intruded into adjacent site. Two blocks from waterfront and downtown shopping district. A great location, an old-style park with owners who are investing in improvements. We camped at Cypress Morro Bay RV & MHP in a Motorhome.

San Clemente State Beach, San Clemente, California

Date of Stay: February, 2007 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, great location on bluff overlooking ocean with access to beach within walking distance of sites. Can be somewhat noisy and boisterous over weekends, with lots of families. Not much in the way of staff support or campground services, but a nice place to stay. We camped at San Clemente State Beach in a Motorhome.

A nice park, in a good location with friendly, helpful staff. Spaces are tight and getting level can be a challenge, but a very pleasant place to stay in the Palm Springs area. Very convenient to central Palm Springs and adjacent communities. We camped at Palm Springs Oasis RV Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon, Coburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, well-maintained park with friendly staff. $5 annual fee for Wi-Fi is a silly nuisance. Freeway noise considerable, no shade. A short-term park, but over-priced at that. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon in a Motorhome.
