Tips for other Campers:

Found a new restaurant this year in Middlebury. Village Inn. It's a small, plain restaurant in downtown Middlebury. Food was excellent. Amish ladies cooking in the kitchen and great homemade pie. We had two full meals with two pieces of pie to go-$21.00!

Coloma / St. Joseph KOA, Riverside, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We've been staying at this KOA for quite a few years for our annual fall trip. There are big improvements from last year, including a new store/check in area. We also noticed the owner checking tree limbs. Our site (#92) could use a branch or two trimmed. Electric, cable box and sewer were near the center of our site. The campground's pull thru sites were full during our entire stay. We would suggest an escort to the site, as some seemed to have a problem finding their site. We'll definitely be returning. We camped at Coloma / St. Joseph KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Benton KOA, Benton, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We were fortunate enough to stay in the newer pull in sites across the road from the campground. Much quieter on that side. Still need grass. Wifi unable to be accessed from our site. Verizon good. Owners friendly. Stayed during eclipse so campground was busy and full at all times. Close to highway, Walmart and fuel stations. We camped at Benton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tippecanoe River State Park, Winamac, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

All back in sites, electric only. We brought our own water. We arrived on Thursday because park gets very busy on weekends. Although campground was full, park rangers seemed to keep noise under control. Nice hiking, biking, and horse riding trails. Park naturalists were on hand for special events. Upon arrival our site had electric issues. Camp host was told and it was fixed in a few minutes. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Elkhart Co. / Middlebury KOA, Middlebury, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed Mothers Day weekend. Campground was extremely busy due to special events. This park is close to Shipshewana so there is plenty to see and do in the area. Campground is at an intersection of two busy highways so it is quite noisy. Conveniently close to the Indiana Toll Road, which unfortunately is undergoing major construction this year. Lots are spacious and offer some shade. Sites are gravel and feature a fire ring, picnic table and patio. We will definitely be back due to proximity of area attractions. We camped at Elkhart Co. / Middlebury KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

White River Campground, Cicero, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is situated next to the White River in Cicero, Indiana, just a few miles off Highway 31. The road leading to the campground from 31 is quite narrow. The entrance sign is quite low so you need to be aware. Campground is nicely kept. The day we arrived campground was having an RV show, so road to site was blocked. Luckily we were able to get to our site on opposite road, but have to move orange cones in order to back up to our site, which was along the river. We arrived shortly after check in time and when we asked if our site was available, the office staff had no idea and stated that we would find out when we got there. Luckily it was empty.

Please note that a large FAN or screen room is a necessity at this campground, due to the large number of hovering flies in the area. At the time we were here, they were building a large pedestrian bridge that intersected with the park next door. This caused a lot of noise and mud in the road. It was a good deal at $150.00 per week. We camped at White River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is just north of Noblesville, Indiana, which is a quaint town for shopping and antique hunting. There is a great restaurant in the town of Cicero called 10 West, if you are looking for an upscale night out. There is also a great ice cream place in town also.

Tippecanoe River State Park, Winamac, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, wooded state park. Our site was large, mostly grass except for the gravel pad. Lots of biking and hiking trails. Park was completely full but was very quiet at night. A little tight getting in and out of site. 30 amp electricity only at the site. We brought our own water. Poor Verizon service. We will return. The biggest complaint was park ranger knocking on our door around 10:30 pm to ask us to move our vehicle off the grass where it had been parked all day. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Indiana Beach Campground , Monticello, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is no longer a NASCAR facility. It is now called Indiana Beach RV Resort. We used to come here yearly but skipped 2014 due to all of the changes in the park. Decided to try again this year and it was a little better. Lawn wasn't mowed yet where we camped (site F-46). The amusement park wasn't open while we were there (Mother's Day Weekend). We did drive over there but the place looked deserted. The cable channels were good but did not get any WiFi reception at our site. The camp store looked well stocked. It was quiet at night but probably because it began to rain. Otherwise, the teenage seasonals seems to take over the roads on their golf carts. Picnic tables needed replacing. It is still a good place for our weekend "shake down" cruise, but would not spend a week there. This campground is a part of a resort. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Coloma / St. Joseph KOA, Riverside, Michigan

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here every fall while attending the Paw Paw Wine Festival and the St. Joseph/South Haven tourist areas. It is a nicely kept older KOA. We had a pull through site and had plenty of room for our tow vehicle and slide outs. Entrance to park is directly off a highway so be aware or you might miss it. There is a slight highway noise and a train track nearby. The only thing we missed on our trip this year were the homemade donuts that the owner used to make and sell. We will return again this fall. We camped at Coloma / St. Joseph KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Peaceful Waters Campground, Rockville, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here yearly since the campground opened during the Covered Bridge Festival. It is a beautiful park, especially if you are lucky enough to obtain a space off Highway 41. The owners are extremely accommodating and have made many improvements over the few years it has been open. The biggest downside is that the sites along Highway 41 can become quite noisy from traffic. Sites 22-34 are off the road and quite roomy. Water is available but no sewer, although a septic service is offered if needed for an extra cost. Will definitely be back. We camped at Peaceful Waters Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
