Grassy Key RV Park & Resort, Marathon, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This a beautiful resort in the Florida Keys, it sits on a picture perfect Bay and is small and quiet. The sites are spacious and well landscaped and the equipment is all new. The staff here is outstanding, they go out of their way to make us comfortable and to help with anything we need. This is our fifth year staying here and we plan to come back next winter. This resort books up for winter far in advance, so make your reservations early! We camped at Grassy Key RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of great restaurants, the park managers always know the best places. Dolphin Research Center right next door is wonderful - one of the staff is in the know about that, we were here when two baby dolphins were born. They have a great paved bike path at the park's edge, you can ride all the way into Marathon. Terrific sunsets at tiki hut and tables on the waterfront.

Flamingo Campground (NPS Campground), Homestead, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Flamingo is at the end of a secluded 27 mile ride through the Florida Everglades. If you want to really see the Everglades you must come here - sites are remote but have electric and water. We camped at Flamingo Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.
