Very good county park hidden in the suburbs. Lots of lush vegetation, trails to walk on, open spaces, and comfortable and clean facilities. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Sioux Recreation Area, Brandon, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

After staying in many commercial RV parks, staying at this state park was a treat. It was quiet, comfortable and relaxing. All sites are electric (50 amp) only but there's a water and sewer stations you enter. No need to travel with a full tank of water. Sites are set up far apart so you won't feel cramped at all. We will definitely return!! We camped at Big Sioux Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

2nd time staying here. There are many choices in the Black Hills but we love the property here. The sites are set up in various areas on this large swath of land. All sites have electric and water with the majority of sites with full hookups (30 or 50 amp). There are cabins available as well. Swimming pool, playground, volleyball court, and enough open grass area to play baseball and football at the same time! We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ponderosa Campground, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Overall our site was good. I wouldn't want some of the other sites as RVs are stacked on each other. The electric pedestal was on the opposite side than the water hookup and sewer was behind the trailer. When you make reservations ask which sites have 50 amp. Not all do. Laundry room was clean; $2 for wash, $1.50 for 30 min dry. The property does need some upkeep on the trees and shrubs. Some tree limbs are hanging down onto the tops of trailers and some trees hit the back of trailers. The dead branches need to be pruned out as well. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We visited the Heart Mountain Japanese Internment Camp memorial located off of Hwy 14 towards Powell. Very well done museum. A good reminder that we ought not repeat that type of history again.

Pony Express RV Resort, North Salt Lake, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is north of Salt Lake City with easy access to the freeways. We were only 6-8 miles from whatever we wanted to see. Sites are concrete pads and level. Park is very well maintained. Freeway noise could be bothersome but it was so hot while we were there the AC was on round the clock. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Western Hills Campground, Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Rawlins is generally a one night stop and we look for someplace that is easy and convenient. The sites are large gravel with full hookups. However, you do need to specify that you want cable when you register. Easy to drive into the sites as the campground is very large. No tight turns or tree branches to avoid unlike the other RV park just down the road. That RV park looked like sardines lined up. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Anaheim RV Park, Anaheim, California

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 41 ft 5th wheel and the site we had this time was better for the size of our rig. Pads are level and backing in was no problem. They have security and maintenance staff on hand I believe round the clock. We broke a key in our trailer door and couldn't get in late at night. The security guy retrieved his tools and had us inside within minutes. Reservations are a must year round as the park is so close to Disneyland. We had stayed here before and I wasn't thrilled. But it seems that they've done some work as the place looked cleaner and fixed up. We would stay here again if we get a good spot haha! We camped at Anaheim RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Anaheim Packing House is a great place to eat. There are 22 restaurants inside this renovated old warehouse. Like a very upscale foot court. Lots of great food options for everyone including a full bar and wine bar. Just a couple miles north of the park.

Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park), Central Point, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

New RV park along the I5 corridor. Made the reservation over the phone (very nice lady) helped me. There are camp hosts at the park to help out if you need. The RV pads are complete as employees finish up on signage, building the office, and other things. Bathrooms and showers are complete andthey are located at each end of the park. No WIFI yet, no cable. But we used our antenna and found about 25 channels. Easy drive to Medford and Jacksonville. We would stay again! We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort, Salem, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park with many full timers. The sites are well kept and clean. Our site was very nice with plenty of room for our 41' 5th wheel and our truck. Lush grass area outside front door. My only issue was the traffic noise and some industrial business nearby that started work at 3 am. Overall it was very good place for our 2 night stay. We camped at Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Gilgal Oasis RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park area is very small and there are 26 sites crammed in. While it is well landscaped, the overall park is very cramped. We had to disconnect our truck and try to park it diagonally in front of the trailer as all other guests had to. Drivers drive fast on the streets around the park which has little buffer to the roads. The staff is very personable and helpful. Most of the folks here seem to live here. Unfortunately there are very few "good" options for RV parks in this area as we looked around while we stayed in the area. We camped at Gilgal Oasis RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pioneer Trails RV Resort , Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Hidden gem on Fidalgo Island! Sites tucked into the trees gives you the feeling you're in the woods. Nicely landscaped sites placed, so you're not on top of your neighbor. Sites are level and hookups are clustered together. Good cable station selection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good playground for kids and a basketball court. Lots of trash cans placed around campground. While we were on Fidalgo and Whidbey Islands, we looked at other RV parks and we feel this one's the best! We camped at Pioneer Trails RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

North American RV Park & Yurt Village, Coram, Montana

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in October at the end of the season at Glacier National Park. We had plenty of room as there were very few other trailers. However, if this was during the busy season and the park was full, the sites are close together especially if your canopy is out. The laundry is $1.50 and dryer is $1.50. Overall, this park was good and convenient to the west entrance as well as Columbia Falls, Whitefish and Kalispell. We camped at North American RV Park & Yurt Village in a Fifth Wheel.

If you love huckleberries, visit the Huckleberry Patch in Hungry Horse. Great huckleberry pie and milk shake! Whitefish has some cute stores downtown and restaurants. Kalispell has a Target, Walmart, Cabela's, Michaels and other major stores.

There is a very good grocery store, Super 1, in Columbia Falls.

Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court Campground - Full Hookups (Parks Canada), Banff National Park, Alberta

This is an excellent place to stay! Convenience of a RV park with the forest atmosphere. Easy to pull into site as sites are arranged parallel to the road. There are endless things to do in Banff National Park. Check out the various hikes in the area. The shuttle to and from Banff is so helpful as parking can be a huge problem downtown.
The best grocery store is the Save on Foods in Canmore, about 18 miles away. The Banff IGA is small and old and their parking lot is a nighmare.

Easy to locate off of I-15. The roads are wide and easy to navigate. We did receive a 10% discount (AAA) but then they charged us an extra $3.00 for the 50 amp even though all sites have 30 and 50 amp. It wasn't mentioned or explained on why. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
