Tickfaw State Park, Springfield, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Very, very nice park. Campground area is beautifully maintained. Sites are well spaced and the levelest we have yet to encounter. Most sites have large wooden decks adjoining the paved RV site. This park would be a 10+ if it had a lake or swimming pool, but for cool weather camping it is our family's favorite. We camped at Tickfaw State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Flint Creek Water Park, Wiggins, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Our favorite park. Many sites are located right on the lake. Sewer hook-ups are not available at all sites. Some of the sites in area 2 (non-reserved) are extremely unlevel, both front to back and side to side, however they are all paved and very, very roomy. Some sites are perfectly level but they seem to be the first to fill up. There was space available all weekend on some of the more unlevel sites, but bring lots of blocks. Park has water slides and a little kids water park. Very scenic hilly area. Over all great campground. We camped at Flint Creek Water Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Fausse Pointe State Park, Saint Martinville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park. Mosquitoes were terrible at dusk and dawn, even in November, but not bad during the day or after dark. Bring LOTS of bug spray and enjoy. A family emergency cut our stay short and the staff was very sympathetic and arranged for a refund of our unused days without our requesting or expecting it. We camped at Lake Fausse Pointe State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake End Park Campground, Morgan City, Louisiana

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first trip with our new 5th wheel. Campground is very nicely kept-up. Staff was helpful and friendly. The campground was almost completely full our first night, but was amazingly quiet and peaceful after dark. Sites are a little close together in some sections. In all this City of Morgan City owned park is definitely worth a trip. We will definitely camp here again. We camped at Lake End Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
