American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was quick the people at the desk ere very friendly. We were guided to our site. The site was long enough for our 35 foot rig and had a parking spot on the side for our truck. All the hookups worked well, we did not use the cable, our site was satellite friendly. The WIFI appears to have been upgraded as it worked well, in the past it had rarely worked. The park was clean. The dog park we used was ok, nothing special but our dogs liked it. There are many stores and places to eat a few miles down Central Ave. or on the north side of Coors both a few minutes away. In all a good stay. We have been here before and will be back. We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Apache Trout Campground- Big Lake Rec Area, Springerville, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Apache Trout Campground in September. The campground is surrounded by forest and looks more like a a forest service campground than one that would have full hookups. We were in site 84 a long back in. All sites are back in in this campground but are easy to get into even with our 35 footers. We had a fire ring and table at the site. The hook ups all worked well. The sites are 20/30/50 amps. All hook ups are at the very back of the sites so you must make sure to have plently of length on hoses, etc. This is a beautiful campground and we have been here many times before and will continue to come back to. We camped at Apache Trout Campground- Big Lake Rec Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Cheyenne KOA, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at the Cheyenne KOA in June in a 5th wheel. We had a electric, water and cable site near the tent area. The staff was friendly and check-in was quick. The sites are quite wide but can be a little short and it is a little hard to see exactly how the sites are marked side to side. All utilities worked well no problems and there are plenty of areas to walk the dogs. The campground is clean, everything works and is good for an overnight stop. The interstate is very close and can be noisy. But all in all a good stop, we have been here several times before and will be back. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Custer's Gulch RV Park, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Custers Gulch in June. The park is right outside of Custer, SD and about 500 yards off the highway making it very quiet. The road in and campground roads are dirt and gravel but are in good shape. Checkin was quick the staff friendly. We had space #52 a very long backin with about 25-30 feet on both sides between sites. The site had excellent grass, a fire ring, table and backed up to a hillside. Satellite was easy to setup. 50 amp water and sewer all worked no problems. The place is clean, quiet and excellent for big rigs. The price paid was very good for the area. We will be coming back. We camped at Custer's Gulch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Devils Tower KOA, Devils Tower, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in June in a fifth wheel. The park is right next to Devils Tower NM and we had an excellent view from our site. We had a pull through in the back section that had an odd layout as when all the sites in that section are full you have to either back in past the other sites or drive in and then then back in as there is no access around those sites. The site was basic with a picnic table. There are ants mounds everywhere. We saw deer right across from us in the tent area which is very large. Power, water and sewer worked ok except the power and water went out the last day we were there so we just used our tank. WI-FI was useless. The laundry machines all worked and are not cheap $2.00 a load. Pool looked very nice. They have a nice store that is well stocked. and a cafe we didn't use. Devils Tower is very interesting and worth seeing. We camped at Devils Tower KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Raton KOA, Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in June in a fifth wheel. check-in was quick and the staff is friendly. We had a wide pull through with full hook ups. The sites are wide and long. They are basic with gravel and a table. leveling is not hard but does require a little work with the jacks. Power, water and cable all worked well with no issues. This a basic park but is clean, quiet and good for an overnight stay. We have stayed here before and will be back. We camped at Raton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at American RV in June. Check-in was quick and we were guided to site #104 a pull through. The sites was easy to get into although a little short. Power, water and cable all worked well but the water can be difficult to hook up to as it is below ground level and can be a problem for people with knee issues. Wi-Fi was hit and miss sometimes worked, sometimes not. They have a good dog park we used for our two small dogs and grass at the site is nice. Noise from the freeway and be a little loud. There is a new Loves right down the road. In all a good stay and we will be back. We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

San Diego Metro KOA, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at the San Diego KOA in May. The check-in was fast the young person at the counter was friendly and helpful. We had a deluxe site with a patio, table and firepit. The sites are close together but not to bad. We had grass and the sites are all paved or have concrete to park on. The interior can be a little tight so you must be careful and because many of the sites are short vehicles park in designated spots in the roadway. The park was not full while we were there so it was pretty quite, but do expect helicopters from the Navy base to fly over all day and night and they are quite loud. If you have kids there are lots of things for them to do. There is a lot of shopping in the area. The Midway museum and other sites are only about 20 minutes away. The park was very clean and all utilities worked well. price paid was good for the area. We will return. We camped at San Diego Metro KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Gila Bend KOA (formerly Augie's Quail Trail RV Park), Gila Bend, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed twice at the Gila Bend KOA in May. Staff was friendly, check-in was quick. The park had a lot of spaces available with summer coming. We had a back-in which was very easy to get into the first stop and a pull through the second stop. The park is very easy to navigate, the sites are very wide and long. The utilities were easy to hook up and worked well no issues at all. They have a very nice dog park with excellent grass our dogs loved. The grass almost seems out of place here. We didn't go through the actual own of Gila Bend so I cant say what is there. There is a Shell travel center just down the road that has easy to get into RV pumps. It was a nice stay the price was good and we will be back for overnight stops when headed to San Diego. We camped at Gila Bend KOA (formerly Augie's Quail Trail RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in Sept 2015. The park was almost empty still being very hot. Check in was quick and friendly. We had a pull through spot across from the office with grass and a patio and furniture. Spot was easy to get into. Hookups worked well. Cable was good about 25 channels. WIFI was useless didn't work for more than a few minutes if you could get on. The grass all over was being removed maybe reseeding or changing to rock? Don't know. Good place to stay, clean and secure at night. We will stay again. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Sept 2015. Check in was quick and friendly, we were guided to our site #107. The site was long enough but not very level but a little work with our leveler jacks and we were good, the place is on a hillside. No cable but should have for what the price is. WIFI worked great, we didn't use any of the family stuff golf, go arts, pool but they looked fine. We have been here before and will return, overall a nice park. Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Sept 2015. We had a very wide site in the very back, no shade but didn't matter as it rained for two days. The site was pretty much flooded as water doesn't drain anywhere. Staff very friendly and fast checkin. Hookups worked good except WiFi which didn't connect most of the time. Overall not great but not bad. Overall Rating:

We stayed here in Sept 2015 we had an excellent pull through site with almost total shade. All hookups worked well no issues we had grass and some dirt which turned muddy as they water each night. Sites are a little close but not bad. Staff very friendly but there are lots of rules; nothing that can't easily be lived with. Cable was good WiFi not so much. No longer has a pet area. Very nice place overall, we will return. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
