Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is right off of I-75 and is an overnight stop for many people this time of the year on their way to Florida. We noticed road noise during the day and evening, but it was quiet at night. We used this as a short 2 night stop in our travels. The neighbor did not clean up after his dog right next to our truck. The sites are gravel with a small grass area between sites. The hookups are in the center of the pull through and easy to reach. All of the utilities worked well for our stay. Many units pull in here late in the afternoon for the night and then pull out the next morning. The drives are all dirt in the park except the entrance and exit lanes. Some of the turns are very tight for larger units. We camped at Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Junaluska Campground, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park for the fall leaf peaking on the Blue Ridge and surrounding area. Great views of the surrounding mountains and the colors in them. The park is on a busy highway with lots of noise during the day, but quieted down at night. We were in a pull through site that sloped down to the front. All of the hook ups were in very good condition. There is a paved walking trail around the lake across the street. There are also sites on the upper levels of the park with paved access to all sites. Some of the turns in the park are very tight for a large unit. We camped at Lake Junaluska Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Cedar Campground and Canoe Livery, Germfask, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times over the years and have found this park very helpful and friendly.

We arrived after hours and they were very good in letting us choose whatever site we wanted that was open. There is no TV reception and no cable here but it is not a big deal to us. They also rent canoes and kayaks here. There is some road noise but it is very little.

We will come here again. We camped at Big Cedar Campground and Canoe Livery in a Truck Camper.

Munising/Pictured Rocks KOA (Wandering Wheels Campground), Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here in the past and pulled in for the night. Even with a truck camper we could not get level in the site. The site was all dirt and mud as it had just rained today. There is no grass in the site we were given.

The pool is torn out, but you can get a key ($10.00 deposit) for the hotel next door. The price is just too much for what they are offering. We will not stop here again, even for a stop over. We camped at Munising/Pictured Rocks KOA (Wandering Wheels Campground) in a Truck Camper.

Heartland RV Park & Cabins, Hermosa, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting Custer State Park, and Mt. Rushmore. We enjoyed our stay here and found the park very good for our needs. Only complaint was the pool closing at 8 pm. The winds caused any campfire to blow a lot of smoke. We camped at Heartland RV Park & Cabins in a Truck Camper.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting the badlands and the missile sites. Was very busy here as Sturgis was just ending when we pulled in. The folks in the office were not very helpful to my family. This could be because they had all the business they could handle. The dumpster was overflowing and trash was falling all over the ground. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting the corn palace and even though it has a train track behind campground they were very quiet. There was some traffic noise from the interstate but that is to be expected as it is very close. They gave us each a bottle of cold water at check in. Very nice office staff and answered our questions. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Meskwaki RV Park, Tama, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for an overnight stop. Not far from casino as you must register at hotel desk. It was a quiet stop and easy for us. There is a convenience store on the property. The cement pads and electric is your site, with a patio and picnic table. Bare bones. We camped at Meskwaki RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Hickory Hollow Campground, Utica, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for an overnight stop. It is close to I-80 and easy to get to, GPS did not have the right directions but we followed the signs coming off expressway. We were here on a Wednesday night and had a nice back in site with shade. There were a lot of pull through sites in the back area for larger rigs. They used a cart to guide to your site. Nice pool but there were quite a few kids having fun. We would stop here again. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Truck Camper.

Potawatomi Recreation Area, Union City, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here with our church group. This is mostly a seasonal campground as there are many people here for that on this small lake. They have about 30+ campsites for weekenders or travelers. As they seem to fill up on weekends call ahead to get a site. The sites are just 30 amp and water for our type of unit. They do have a few sites with full hook ups but do charge more for the sewer. Extra people are also another charge. We have enjoyed coming here for a weekend campout for several years. We camped at Potawatomi Recreation Area in a Truck Camper.

Terre Haute KOA, Terre Haute, Indiana

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very good overnight stop even though it is at a high price. They seem to be fairly full on an overnight basis. There is a moderate level of high way noise from the expressway. The down side for this site right now is the highway construction going on at the exit area, it was difficult to maneuver to get to the drive. This has been a long term problem going on over 2 years and is not close to being done from the looks of it. They will guide you to your site when you arrive, the work campers are aware of the maneuvering of big rigs inside the camp. Before stopping here again we will be checking on the construction progress. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Bar H Bar RV Park, Seminole, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

The drives are large gravel stones making it rough driving. The cement pads are long with a patio and was able to hold the whole unit. It is close to the expressway so there is a definite noise level you can not ignore. This was an overnight stop for us. Did not like them making a copy of Drivers license at registration. I do not think we would stop here again. We camped at Bar H Bar RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Good location, just off the expressway. It was getting very busy in the evenings. We stayed here 2 nights letting the weather settle down. The sites are very large and easy to get into. They guide you to the site with a work camper who understands RV's. Shopping is handy as well as fuel stations. The big Texan Steak ranch is close by is a must see if you have not eaten there before. Cable TV was excellent, all hook ups were mid unit. We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice place for a short stay and was easy to get into. There are quite a few long term campers in this park. Staff was helpful in getting into a site even when we arrived after hours. This campground had a lot of big trees in it and created a little problem in moving the rig around. The sites are quite close together. We camped at Sundance RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Fe KOA, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very small campground and is off I-25 east of Santa Fe. The site was very tight for our 40 foot 5er; when the slides opened on both sides there was no room left to hardly move. Also had trouble parking our truck in front or behind it. It is dark and quiet at night. The exit close to the park is currently closed and requires a 6+ mile round trip to get in and out. The cost is high for the location and time of year. We will try a different campground in the area when we return. We camped at Santa Fe KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
