Seasons in the Sun RV Resort, Mims, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here to explore the space center and coast. The rate is passport america. Our site was very good back in with plenty of area for our truck and our sons car while visiting us. The hook ups were very good and worked well. The staff works hard to keep the grounds clean. We would stay here again if passing through the area as it is easy access to I95. We camped at Seasons in the Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Miami Everglades Resort, Miami, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting the everglades. The facilities were very good and the staff very friendly. The pool and Hot Tub were very good during our stay. The site was all grass but the hook ups were very good. The campground was very busy but we found all guests to be very friendly. Although the streets are very narrow we were able to maneuver through the campground easily. We were guided to our site and assisted in parking. We would stay here again if passing through. We camped at Miami Everglades Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park to stay to visit the local attractions in the area. The camp hosts were very friendly. The park is all back ins but it is easy to get into the sites. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Midway Campground - Big Cypress National Preserve in a Fifth Wheel.

Horseshoe Cove RV Resort, Bradenton, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for an overnight stop on our way further south. The site was sloped and unlevel from front to the back. Entry roads were very narrow for maneuvering. Most units are seasonal RV's or park models. Verizon mifi worked well in this park. We were in a site near the road and had some highway noise. We would stop again for an overnight stop. We camped at Horseshoe Cove RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sherwood Forest RV Resort, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here when visiting our family at Disney. It was very convenient to Disney and shopping in the area. We had difficulty getting our rig into the assigned site due to a lamp post at the back corner of the site. The sites are narrow to start with and this post provided the challenge. Our Verizon work great at this park. Check in was very easy but had to work to get even the good sam discount. When we called we were quoted the passport rate but that told us it was not valid for our stay. There is a stop light on the corner for easy entry into traffic. We camped at Sherwood Forest RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Auburn RV Park at Leisure Time Campground, Auburn, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We did not have reservations and had to call the owner when we pulled in, he was very great and told us what sites we could pull into that were open. We arrived on a Sunday when the football crowd was leaving and there were no problems. There was overnight rain causing sites in the lower loop to flood, so watch the weather if you are arriving. It is tight in the turns and the gps could not get us on the right street. We would stay here again if passing through here. We camped at Auburn RV Park at Leisure Time Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is right off of I-75 and is an overnight stop for many people this time of the year on their way to Florida. We noticed road noise during the day and evening, but it was quiet at night. We used this as a short 2 night stop in our travels. The neighbor did not clean up after his dog right next to our truck. The sites are gravel with a small grass area between sites. The hookups are in the center of the pull through and easy to reach. All of the utilities worked well for our stay. Many units pull in here late in the afternoon for the night and then pull out the next morning. The drives are all dirt in the park except the entrance and exit lanes. Some of the turns are very tight for larger units. We camped at Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Junaluska Campground, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park for the fall leaf peaking on the Blue Ridge and surrounding area. Great views of the surrounding mountains and the colors in them. The park is on a busy highway with lots of noise during the day, but quieted down at night. We were in a pull through site that sloped down to the front. All of the hook ups were in very good condition. There is a paved walking trail around the lake across the street. There are also sites on the upper levels of the park with paved access to all sites. Some of the turns in the park are very tight for a large unit. We camped at Lake Junaluska Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Cedar Campground and Canoe Livery, Germfask, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times over the years and have found this park very helpful and friendly.

We arrived after hours and they were very good in letting us choose whatever site we wanted that was open. There is no TV reception and no cable here but it is not a big deal to us. They also rent canoes and kayaks here. There is some road noise but it is very little.

We will come here again. We camped at Big Cedar Campground and Canoe Livery in a Truck Camper.

Munising / Pictured Rocks KOA, Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here in the past and pulled in for the night. Even with a truck camper we could not get level in the site. The site was all dirt and mud as it had just rained today. There is no grass in the site we were given.

The pool is torn out, but you can get a key ($10.00 deposit) for the hotel next door. The price is just too much for what they are offering. We will not stop here again, even for a stop over. We camped at Munising / Pictured Rocks KOA in a Truck Camper.

Heartland RV Park & Cabins, Hermosa, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting Custer State Park, and Mt. Rushmore. We enjoyed our stay here and found the park very good for our needs. Only complaint was the pool closing at 8 pm. The winds caused any campfire to blow a lot of smoke. We camped at Heartland RV Park & Cabins in a Truck Camper.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting the badlands and the missile sites. Was very busy here as Sturgis was just ending when we pulled in. The folks in the office were not very helpful to my family. This could be because they had all the business they could handle. The dumpster was overflowing and trash was falling all over the ground. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting the corn palace and even though it has a train track behind campground they were very quiet. There was some traffic noise from the interstate but that is to be expected as it is very close. They gave us each a bottle of cold water at check in. Very nice office staff and answered our questions. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Truck Camper.

We stopped here for an overnight stop. Not far from casino as you must register at hotel desk. It was a quiet stop and easy for us. There is a convenience store on the property. The cement pads and electric is your site, with a patio and picnic table. Bare bones. We camped at Meskwaki RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Hickory Hollow Campground, Utica, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for an overnight stop. It is close to I-80 and easy to get to, GPS did not have the right directions but we followed the signs coming off expressway. We were here on a Wednesday night and had a nice back in site with shade. There were a lot of pull through sites in the back area for larger rigs. They used a cart to guide to your site. Nice pool but there were quite a few kids having fun. We would stop here again. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Truck Camper.
