Ripplin Waters Campground, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here four nights in our 33' Class A. The CG is very clean and well kept. On the row furthest from the water are worker RVs. A few of them down on the far end are almost in the undesirable category but we were on the opposite end from them. It wasn't bad enough that I wouldn't stay here again. The staff/owners are all very nice an helpful. Great wifi; very limited cable tv selection. When we arrived we thought - wow, these are some long spots, but after closer examination we discovered that two units can fit on one - back end to back end. Pool was closed due to the time of the year. Very few travelers or vacationers while we were here. Would definitely stay again. The location is wonderful because it's before you get into all the crazy, heavy tourist traffic. Just a short distance past the huge knife store. We were in spot 54. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It is Sevierville - so it's close to everything. Best food we found was at JT Hannah's Kitchen. Even better than the food was the prices - VERY reasonable. Husband's steak was so good he sent tip to the kitchen.

Riverpark Campground, Jonesborough, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this CG for three days and really enjoyed our time there. When you pull in there are a few worker RVs near the road but they are all very neat and well kept. You go down a slight & narrow hill to the rest of spots. Many are right on the Nolichucky River and very have a very relaxing atmosphere. I will say while we were there - there were only two or three other RVs that showed up - just for overnight. It appears the river is a bit low and a lot of limbs and stuff are up on the bank. With the weather getting nicer I am sure they will be picking us these things. The wifi is very good and the cable was alright. The quality was good, but there were not a lot of choices. I did think the price was a little high for this area. There are no pools, playground or things like that. I think because of access to the river this place probably is pretty busy during the summer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay - quite and pretty much by ourselves. We would definitely come again. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Motorhome.

Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park three times, but this is the first time I have left a review. We absolutely love this park. Not all sites are the same size so if they have a good many openings they are perfectly willing to let you ride around and find one that suits you. So that you won't be totally surprised, at the very rear - a good distance from campers - are what appear to be some permanent residents who have the 'typical' set up with sheds, outdoor appliances, etc. They have never been a bother and if you don't cross the little bridge and go back there you will never know they exist. Good TV channels and wifi is the standard RV park wifi; on and off. Can't wait to go back! We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Inland Harbor RV Park, Darien, Georgia

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice RV park. I wouldn't necessarily call it a 'campground' but not an asphalt lot with sites drawn off. Paved roads and sites. Grass (immaculately trimmed) between sites. There were a good many - what appeared to be - snowbirds, but EVERY unit was nice and very well kept. There were people constantly out working and maintaining everything. Entire park is level and has very easy access on/off I-95. We were on the last row of sites and there was a little bit of interstate noise but not enough I would consider it a nuisance. Almost every site is a pull through and should be a good fit for all. We camped at Inland Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blythe Island Regional Park Campground, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Blythe Island Campground. We arrived after dark, but with good directions from the clerk we found our spot. Under all the trees and Spanish moss it was very dark and had it not been the only empty spot in general vicinity of where we were looking it might have been harder to find. However, in the daylight, you will have no problem at all. We had a lot of business to take care of the only full day we had so we were not able to enjoy any of the park's features. It looks like a wonderful place if you have several days to stay. Our site was level and hook ups were no trouble at all. Very friendly lady in the office. It appeared sites were not all the same size, but all were more than adequate. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Riverbend Campground, Hiawassee, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This may have been our favorite campground ---- ever! Owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. Spots were level, gravel and great hookups. We were in a new section and the very end spot so the wifi wasn't too good but that was alright; didn't have to keep up with work email. Cable was great. This is definitely a family campground and people with children will surely love it. Seniors might be bothered by all their bikes and cheerful sounds but just ask for a spot away from play area. We can't wait for the chance to go back. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

Auburn RV Park at Leisure Time Campground, Auburn, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

People think we're crazy - but we live in Auburn and when we just can't get out of town but have the 'itch' to camp - - we go pick up the camper from storage and camp at Auburn RV Park for the week. (We've done this 3 times this year; spots B, C and 14.) It is a clean and safe CG. The roads are paved and spots are gravel. Some have more space between them than others. It only makes sense that the spots that cost the most are the best ones. The Wi-Fi works reasonably well and there's a good selection of TV channels. It does overlook the city's softball fields; which can be a relaxing way to spend the evening. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. His father is sometimes in the office, and being an older gentlemen has a few issues working with the software on the computer - but he apologizes for that constantly. It's pretty close to I-85 but the noise has never been an issue for us. All this being said - we're waiting on football season to pass so we can get a spot and have a camping 'staycation' in the "loveliest village of the plain." We camped at Auburn RV Park at Leisure Time Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Park is off US-29 and directly across from turn to RV park is entrance to Chewacla State Park. The park is a great place to spend the day hiking and just relaxing. During the summer months you can walk down to the waterfall and hang out on the rocks.

Deer Run RV Resort, Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park has two sections. One is for "camping" and the other is camping plus sites with permanently setup travel trailers -- all were very well kept and most unoccupied while we were there. These units are separated from the RV spots in this section. Beautiful lake that you can walk around. In the "campers" part the spots are level and very nice. We stayed in the section with the setup residence units in a very nice spot. Some of the spots in this section were not ideal but we had a great one. I think it was #10. The campground road is probably 2-3 miles from the main road but once you drive it a couple of times it's not so bad. Wifi - okay; not great. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.
