Trailer Inns RV Parks, Bellevue, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

I wish I had stayed in a parking lot. Too small, too tight, not friendly, slides almost touch. Mostly long-term residents with much debris. My dog would not even walk on the grass in the dog area because of the feces. One owners pit (friendly, thank goodness) was let loose and charged me and my little dog. Find a Walmart, etc. We camped at Trailer Inns RV Parks in a Motorhome.

Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Made reservation on line, then when entering the park we were hit with an extra $9/day for the car we were towing.

It is like camping in a prairie because they do not mow the open areas. However, the site was paved, level, with very nice fine gravel patio. Internet service is non-existent except near the office. We camped at Cherry Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Very tight sites, but facilities very good. Location is extremely convenient to both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. They have done a very nice job with their tent sites. We camped at Moab Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss the ribs at Big John's Texas BBQ in town!

If taking a boat tour on the lake, don't take 2. You will see everything on the Rainbow Bridge Cruise. If you prefer a shorter day on the water, the Canyons Cruise is very scenic. If taking a raft trip on the Colorado, the Discovery Full Day Motor trip is too long and slow - take the shorter one.

Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was extremely accommodating. Park is convenient to the interstate without being in a noisy area. The light-rail station (for transportation into the city) is almost in front of the park. The Mexican Restaurant is small and good. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Family History Library is incredible. Bring a little info (or none) and you get a personal tutorial. Then go to the research floor and the 1-on-1 help gets even better. After that you can work from home. And it's all free!

Dirty Johnson's (a bit of a drive) did a decent grooming job on my dog.

Boise / Meridian KOA, Meridian, Idaho

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly, pleasant, very helpful staff. Site is roomy. Campground is laid out well for a big rig with a car in tow. Very well maintained. Propane is very accessible. Quiet area. This was just an overnight stay while travelling. It was convenient and easily accessed from the interstate, but far enough to be quiet. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

Brigham City / Perry South KOA, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Greeted curtly. Not accommodating in any way. Could not walk my dog on the grounds due to briers. Pool cover floating in a green slime. The one upside was that the owner came to our site to warm us of an impending storm. We camped at Brigham City / Perry South KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Driving through the mountains to the west and visiting the small towns was great. Seeing many of the sculptures in Galleta Meadows is a must (find a map of them). The farmer's market in the traffic circle is a real pleasant shopping stop.
