Rocky Creek COE, Somerville, Texas
Date of Stay:
March, 2015 -
$15.00
Overall Rating:
Stayed 2 nights for week-end get away. Beautiful park. Very quiet. Restrooms and showers are exceptional. Bring your own firewood, if possible, otherwise you must buy it. Lake will be nice for swimming during summer when warmer. We camped at Rocky Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.
Brenham very close for shopping or Blue Bell ice cream plant (during the week only).

Beacon 44 RV Park, Port O'Connor, Texas
Date of Stay:
March, 2015 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
The grandkids loved this park. Especially fishing in the pond. Caught 8 3-6 pound catfish, 5 small bass, 4 bluegill and a nice redfish. Some sites are cement and others are gravel/sand mix. Very clean. Adequate showers with plenty of hot water. Owner is wonderful and informative about the area. We camped at Beacon 44 RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Went fishing from the town lighted pier and the jetty. No luck, but a bad day fishing is better than a day at work. Will keep this place on our list for future visits to POC.
