Twin Oaks Campground, Schoharie, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very pretty. The views of the Catskill Mtns are gorgeous. There's a pretty lake for fishing, swimming, limited kayaking. Very scenic and peaceful and family oriented. There's hiking close by. Great place to unwind. Easy access off I-88 (about 5 miles total). The staff is very nice also. I would have given it a perfect score except we were perpendicular and very close to 2 other campers. Just a tad too close; however, the views and cleanliness made up for it. We camped at Twin Oaks Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Naples KOA Campground (formerly Naples Campground), Naples, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park. There are quite a few seasonals which we normally do not like. But this park is different. The seasonals are neat - no junk- nice yard areas. The park has all kinds of activities and socials. The grounds and bathhouses are exceptional. The owners and staff are super nice. We camped at Naples KOA Campground (formerly Naples Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Wilderness Edge Campground, Millinocket, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We are 37' and have a super duty truck. Made reservations months ago. Wound up in a site we barely fit in. The site was beautiful once we got in but the end cap rubbed on the side rails of the truck due to grade of site entrance. Roads are dirt and rock and are extremely bumpy. The sites are wooded with a nice site park feel. One washer and one dryer but they were nice. It's about a 30 min drive to Baxter State park entrance. Not sure but think that's as close as you can get with electric and water hookups at a camp site. With a few minor improvements this park would be great. To camp here you should love the woods and outdoors. This is not "City" camping. We camped at Wilderness Edge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Linkletter Provincial Park, Summerside, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is on Bedeque Bay. The full hookup sites are 50 amp and right on the water. There is not a good beach area but at low tide you can walk forever. The office staff in this park is a group of the nicest ladies I've ever met. They were certainly warm and friendly as we had heard PE Islanders are. The location is about 10 min from shopping and restaurants. It has very close access to the Confederations Rails to Trails Bike Path. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Sobeys, Atlantic Superstore, Walmart, pharmacy, hardware, restaurants all nearby in town of Summerside. Close to Confederation Bridge and major roads. It's a short drive (30 to 40 min) to the north shore where the more scenic beaches are; however, there are lots more tourists and traffic and the amusement parks on the north shore. About a 35 min drive to Charlottetown.

This park is very convenient to Hwy 104. The washrooms/showers were exceptionally clean (I did not use them but looked at them). The grounds are well kept. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had 30 amp full hook ups. We camped at Elm River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a beautiful setting. Lots of green space, a pool, putting green, very dog friendly. They keep this park extremely clean and the staff is very helpful. I forgot to ask for my Good Sam discount and they gave it to me of their own accord. The only complaint is that sites are very close. Maumelle COE, Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on A18. It was a huge site site on the water with a covered picnic table. The views were beautiful. The site was nice and long and pretty level. Love this park. They have probably a dozen sites that are extended stay full hook up for medical patients at Arkansas Med School. This is a joint project with the school and CoE. Kudos to both for doing this for these seriously ill folks. That way they have their "home" with them during treatments. Beautiful park. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the new section of the campground. There is NO shade; however, we were here mid-September and it was nice to have the sun as it was cold at night and pleasant with the windows open during the day. The sites are very spacious and wifi is excellent. Do NOT open your awning here even if you are present. Huge gusts come from nowhere. We would definitely stay there again. Had a grass lawn at each site and a rock picnic/fire pit area. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court Campground - Full Hookups (Parks Canada), Banff National Park, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is the only full hook up park in Banff NP. The views from the park are incredible. Every direction you look there are huge rocky mountains. The park is convenient to town and is also on the town shuttle route. The Canadian park rangers are extremely courteous and helpful. They are very serious about you keeping a bare campsite because of wildlife and they patrol throughout the day. The single sites are very nice and are all pull through. You must book your reservation as soon as the reservation system opens. Check the Canadian park website for details. We camped at Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court Campground - Full Hookups (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

The Tavern has awesome pizzas and salads. Great place to dine after a long day of hiking. The scenery in Banff and Jasper National Parks is incredible. Love this area. If you plan to stay a few days your best bet is to buy the Canadian Discovery Pass to allow unlimited access to national parks. Also before you can make a reservation you have to register and obtain an account with Canadian parks. Go to "parks canada.gc.ca" for details and info.

St. Mary / East Glacier KOA, St Mary, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The park is in an excellent area for hiking on the east side of Glacier NP. The surrounding views are excellent. There are some areas of the park that have collected "stuff" that is a bit of an eyesore. The park's friendly staff and amenities far outweigh that. We would return.
