Circle B RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park itself is really nice. Our spot was pretty level, but it didn't have much shade (site 40). The utilities all worked perfectly including the cable, but you need a really long cable. The man that checked us in was incredibly nice. He wore a cowboy hat and had a cow dog that rode around in his utility vehicle. The other guy that we encountered was not very friendly. He did not want to talk or be talked to. The only way to ID him was he had piercings. Nothing against that, but he wasn't nice at all. Also, the bathrooms and showers are great, but they don't open until 7am and close at 10pm. That sounds reasonable, but if you come from another time zone, you will find you might need that restroom a little sooner. And one morning, it didn't get opened until later than 7. Overall, if you can live with the unfriendly host and the bathroom being limited, this park is nice. Racetrack, Walmart, Casino, etc. are all very close. That is a definite plus. We camped at Circle B RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cafe Rio has the most amazing pizza! Cornerstone Bakery is a fantastic place to eat breakfast or buy baked goods. Inn of the Mountain Gods is more than just gambling. They have comedy, concerts, amazing art, and beautiful views. Ruidoso Downs is a fun adventure, even if you don't gamble, you can take a pick and see if you would have won. The drive up Sierra Blanca is interesting, but be prepared for lots of switchbacks and a narrow road.

Texas 281 RV Park, Bulverde, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice park. Clean restrooms with clean showers. Nice big level pull-thru site with mature trees which provided nice shade. The owner met us when we arrived and led us to our site. Everyone was very friendly. We were invited to a potluck, Bingo, and an Italian night. We didn't attend them because we already had plans, but thought it was nice. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Texas 281 RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Slaton Bakery was delicious and the RV park gave us a wooden nickel for a load of bread that was fantastic.
